  1. Pujols hasn't been totally horrible as a hitter this year (.252, close to 20 homers, not atrocious), but watching him play the field is a joke. He may as well be in a damn walker. I saw him flip the ball to the pitcher and he couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 feet from the bag.
  2. LOL. I do. I am not one who whines about the small market teams. Wasn't KC owned by like the richest man ever and they were "small market". I think some of those teams deserve their fate, but the Yankees have absolutely been benefactors of the rules of the game. Baseball has made cursory moves to mitigate it.
  3. Good question. He has been great, but his move to first base I think diminishes his case. However, I think there is also a case for him to get in. It's going to be a " non steroid" contentious argument us baseball fans long for. At this point, I don't know. That said if he did get 3000 hits he'd be a lock in my mind. I don't think he'll even come close to that.
  4. LOL. It was your sermon. I was just part of the congregation.
  5. I am kwolf and I approve this message.
  6. Which is always just around the corner, though the boy has been pitching better lately.
  7. Damn garcia nailed it to the deepest part of park. Sox should have put this game away.
  8. He has been. His AA K-rate is about 33% which isn't going to cut it, but in his last 20 at-bats he at least has brought the K rate down to about 25%. Kid has electric skills across the board, speed, power, quick hands, good D, just gotta make sure the contact is there.
  9. Not unlike my prediction at the start, historically bad to start, but improvement in 2nd half. I figured that improvement would coincide with Rodon's health, and graduations of players like Kopech. For a team in the toilet, the last 6 weeks COULD be exciting to watch.
  10. Sox should be able to score plenty today...can we keep them at 6?
  11. Is this Royals pitcher any good? Or is this game hopeless now?
  12. Davidson swings at pitch that was bounced in front of the plate it looked like. Turrible
  13. Hope Steele Walker keeps his mojo going. Last 3 games for Kanny, 4-11, 4 runs and 5 stolen bases.
  14. Don't like the idea of moving Rodon, he's the only pitcher the Sox have that has proven, even in a small sample size, he can be a top of the rotation stopper. Unless the Sox don't intend on competing for the next 5 years then let Rodon anchor the staff. Getting a bunch of prospects in 2 years won't really help win in 2 years and it would cost us an outstanding SP that could help us win in two years. That's my view. I know the Sox association with Bora$$ is tenuous at best, but Rodon's stuff is legitimately Top 10 in all MLB.
  15. Steele Walker 5 steals in 13 games for Kan. Scuffling a bit there, but was 2-4 with 3 steals today. Good hitter, didn't know he had SB ability. Looks like a high floor outfielder to me.
  16. LOL love this. I am sure my fellow Bears fans will remember the lost draft picks over the years, where the Bears win a couple of meaningless games and fall from top 5 to outside the top 10. What do you do? Root for your team to lose? I can't stomach when the Sox or Bears lose, but I also know in the back of my mind know if the Sox lose, there is a better chance of being better down the road. Competing with KC and Detroit is not easy. Detroit got Mize, who is going to be a stud. KC's system isn't that good, but they really had a nice draft this past year, Cleveland still promises to be strong and also have a solid system and Minny is good. This division sucks right now, but in 2 years it's going to be a battle. White Sox have the better/deeper farm than any of those teams, but no need to rest on those laurels, I say have another good draft hit and go... Sox draft this past year was awesome. Nick is great, Walker is a tremendous hitter and gives us protection of Blake or Basabe don't pan out. Fifth round pick Steiver is a high floor pitcher I think the Sox needed to get. We got these high ceiling guys, it's nice to have a guy who projects to be a solid innings eater in the bottom of the rotation. One more stellar draft and lets watch the rose bloom
  17. No argument. I get it, I really do. But I would love to watch these guys in Chicago. I mean the Reds just called up a guy from AA who was hitting .249. The Padres called up a pitcher a few days ago who has given up 20 hits in 9 innings pitched while these guys are in the minors. Still, I get it no argument. Also, if Kopech were to get the call, I think it's a logical idea that Dylan Cease would be brought up to AAA. I remember posting a thread about him during Spring training after i watched him against Seattle. There were a lot of questions about him then, questions that are getting answered each time Dylan takes the mound. I can't deny being excited about a rotation of Rodon-Kopech-Cease-Gio-Lopez, and the potential they bring.
  18. Kopech dominating against last night. He's ready.
