  1. Send him down. It doesn't matter if it doesn't matter, when you're that incompetent as a major league pitcher then you should not be in the major leagues, PERIOD. I love the guy...shit I got him on my dynasty fantasy team, but he is a complete a total joke at this point.
  2. are you kidding? Sox are up 8-1, then I have to travel...log on to see they lost? Good god... Time to drink more.
  3. Time to pull the plug on this pitcher. NO MORE of him please. Should have never been resigned. Call up Kopech, Clarkin from AA, let Renteria pitch, bring back the Ghost of Lamar Hoyt, I don't care just get this guy out of here.
  4. Just flipped on the TV and they are showing Oakland As batting practice. I also think Ted Williams has been reincarnated into Jed Lowrie.
  5. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 12:17 AM) If ever there was a team that could win less than 40 games it might be this one. I was called out for saying the Sox would be 25-66 after 81 games. Now I am beginning to think that's optimistic.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:30 PM) They s***canned him because they had a chance to get Maddon. Whatever the case, not impressed with his managing. Yea the team doesn't quit, that's good, but so many other red flags with him. Right now it doesn't matter though.
  7. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:28 PM) There is a reason the team on the other side of town s***canned him when they had the opportunity to. Ruined a gutsy performance by Giolito. Doing s*** like that is how you lose a clubhouse. I am livid with this. ESPECIALLY after the walk to the f***ing 9 hitter.
  8. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:22 PM) No. This is 100% on Renteria. He hung him out to die. You either take him out after 6, OR AT WORSE you yank him after that walk to the 9 hitter where ball 4 wasn't even close and it was +100 pitch. Not impressed with Renteria in the least. No ability to run us to keep us from double plays, won't hold s*** play accountable, and this inexplicable decision to keep Gio in.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:20 PM) Yeah not sure why he was in for Dozier. Usually if you walk the 9 hitter after 100 pitches, you're done That's what I expected. Terrible.
  10. The last two innings were very solid by GIO...something to build on. Another QS...he has 2 of 3
  11. Nice inning Gio. I liked the gameplan...get ahead with offspeed stuff and try to bust them in with the fastball (or finish Mauer with a down/in curve). Gio stuff has been garbage most of this year, but I have liked his competitiveness. He battles. NOW...add 4 MPH to that heater and spot the offspeed pitch better and we may have a Gio
  12. WOW....Coop comes out to talk to him....keep throwing balls.
  13. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 09:17 PM) LOL..nothing like Harry Doyle to lighten the mood in here
  14. Leadoff walk....some of these pitches are not even close. This is brutal.
  15. If you play fantasy baseball and have a pitcher going against the Sox....start em!!!
  16. Gotta stay patient with Yoan and Gio as they were centerpieces of two huge trades. If these guys don't work out there will be "no 2020"
  17. Sox look like a single A team against this pitcher tonight.
  18. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 08:44 PM) on TV it looks absolutely stunning. before my dad passed he went to a game there and raved about it as well. It is. Your dad was spot on. I've also been to Camden Yards...Pittsburgh blows it away and Camden is nice as well. Another great thing about Pittsburgh is the weather can be temperate and breeze coming in over the river in the summer seems to keep it from being brutally hot, great sight lines you can get a great ticket for 15 bucks....people sit out on their boats in the river and watch the game from their boats (not the yokels in john boats trying to get the random baseball)...its an event.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 08:40 PM) Has Benetti never been to Pittsburgh, Seattle, Milwaukee or Boston? Those 4 parks, for my money, are the best in baseball (I’ve never been to this park) Pittsburgh is an absolutely awesome park. It's location, proximity to the Ohio River, the city as a backdrop is dead set one of the finest baseball experiences I've encountered.
  20. Another 12 or so Ks coming again tonight.
  21. Not sure where the first pitch to Mauer was. but whatever....
