QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 11:46 PM) I think we need to take him out of the lead off spot. I guess you put Anderson up there or Sanchez/L. Garcia This.
-
Well, it's "only" 3-0 .... coulda been much worse.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 03:23 PM) Only watching via Gamecast..is Carson getting squeezed? 5 BBs in 3.2 IP is no bueno. Yes partially, but his command is also off too.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 03:22 PM) Fulmer will be an amazing reliever. With Rodon, Kopech, Gio and Lopez I don't see Fulmer as anything more than back of the rotation arm anyway...he'll be a good long man, and could potentially be a nice setup guy if he can find 2 pitches to locate.
-
Fulmer's command has exited stage left

QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 02:55 PM) I agree 100% I can understand losing games just simply because the other team has more talent/experience, whatever. It's a rebuilding year. But when you literally cannot catch balls that I am able to catch, hell, that a 15 year old can catch, something needs to change. I really hope this is nipped in the bud soon. Nipped in the bud is giving players days off and explain to them they have to conduct themselves as pros on the field, some of the errors have been maddening. I'd also like to have seen a more aggressive managerial approach over the past week...ie, moving runners to avoid double plays for example. It's like Renteria is resolved in the fact this team is young, they suck, they are building for the future so what happens now doesn't matter....
-
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 02:53 PM) Ricky really teaching the young guys Total team effort so far this season, that includes this manager.
-
Players need to be held accountable...guys make braindead mistakes need to take some time off.

Are you kidding me?

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 11:47 AM) With the pitching matchup, I could see the score being 10-9. Or 1-0. LOL I know it. Snell has electric stuff, but the Yankees bombed him last week.
-
I imagine the Rays after seeing Boston and NYY for a large part of their early season facing players like Chris Sale, Luis Severino, David Price (some multiple times)...seeing Miguel Gonzelez had to be a breath of fresh air. No onto the bullpen...let the games begin

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 04:03 PM) He's a whole new guy since this time last year. Tim Anderson will be part of the solution.

Timmy is a fun dude to watch play baseball.
-
LOL....wow this team is really awful right now.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 02:44 PM) Looks like we’ll be going to the pen early today. MiGo at 27 pitches already. This pitcher is just not good, Rodon can't get healthy soon enough.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 04:57 PM) If the Sox are 22 under at the break, I’ll paypal you $100. If they’re better than that, you paypal me $100. Deal? If I get this new job I am applying for this week then yea deal... 25-57 was not my prediction, but I could see something atrocious like that. It will take time to sort this team out. -The bullpen is trash, but a move has been made, Rondon looked good. Another change or two is needed -the team defense has been a problem early in the season -Starting rotation has a ton of HUGE ? marks....by mid season, Gio and Rey will be settled in, Rodon will be back from IR, we'll know if Fulmer is legit or not. The rotation in the 2nd half may be ....Rodon, ReyRey, Gio and Kopech. Fulmer may still be the 5. With any luck we can trade Shields, assuming he pitches well. -WHY on WHY do the Sox not move runners? It's like we were just waiting to hit into DP after DP...move the damn base runners. I don't get that. While all these things are sorting out I could see a bounty of losses. The Sox got done in by Detroit who is not a good team at all....another really bad team is coming in tomorrow, Tampa Bay. I will say it now...the Sox will be terrible the first half, but I think be good the second half. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 04:51 PM) Ricky's boys got swept by an awful team. The White Sox at current is probably the 3rd worst team in the Majors, with only Miami and Kansas City assured to be worse. I fully expect the White Sox to be brutal in the first half. I could see something like 25-57 over the first 82. It's the LAST 82 I think we'll see something...the kids will have more experience, we'll have hopefully unloaded/traded/DFA'd veteran scrubs and brought up some other kids. While getting swept at home by Detoilet is embarrassing, now is the time to stay patient.... -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 03:55 PM) I just never hear anyone outside the Sox org project him as a starter. I love his stuff though and would argue he looked better than Kopech in the spring He looked WAY better than Kopech in the Spring. Kopech had a start or two where he had no command. Dylan Cease was dominant and had excellent control in his few stints. -

QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 04:12 PM) I disagree. Let him work through the jam. He makes the double play earlier, the inning is over. Yep. Make a play, you have 6 inning QS in the books. Simple. And if Yolmer makes his play we're looking at 2-0 bottom 6. Losing teams do s*** to make themselves lose. -

Very disappointed with the defense this year. VERY. I expected the pen to suck, expected our starters to struggle at times, but the inability to make routine plays (Engel in Toronto, Luery, Anderson, Yolmer today) .... is a large reason the Sox are racking up the losses after a 2-0 start. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 03:57 PM) If Moncada steals second, he scores. The little things... I don't understand why they don't run him. Tigers convert their DoublePlay.
