Its not the ump...get over it. I think he's been consistent and the pitches by Howell were terrific pitches. Sorry, not blaming blue here. The total lack of speed, this station to station bulls***, is why we are in this situation. 11 runners on base? That's all about 'waiting around' for the 3 run homer. I HATE that philosophy because it does not work. Sure, 2005 we had bangers, but we also ran a lot, moved guys over...we manufactured runs and got homers. This team is just station to station crap.

Per usual, Mark is battling and thats all we can ask. He's giving a good go. We just need to flip the lead....we can get 1 damn run...their pen isn't that special.

The offense is choking...Kazmir was not good tonight, I am sorry, but a team with high quality hitters chase him by the end of 4.

This proves the makeup of the team isn't right. YES, Javier is junk and should be jettisoned as soon as possible, but it seems the only way we score is with a homer. Our leadoff hitter sucks, we have very little speed. Buehrle will need to come out firing for game 2...And the book on Kazmir is be patient, he'll use a LOT of pitches. If we play it smart we could get him out of the game early even if we dont score (Ive seen Kazmir pitch 5 innings and have 110 pitches while giving up only 1 run, he's NOT economical). The VERY SAD thing about losing this game is they didn't beat our best...They beat a bum pitcher...I have more respect if they beat one of our other guys, but beating Javvy Vazquez PROVES NOTHING and Im sure the talking heads will be saying how wonderful Tampa bay is, but we gave them this game basically...we ran out a total stiff to start this game. If they beat Mark and Danks, then Ill tip my cap to them...but for tonight foogem.

Thanks for the updates on the starters. Thats good its Danks, Mark...game 2 and 3...I haven't been keeping up with any news. And game 5 Mark...loss here or not I still like our chances. PK proving hes a MAN.

We REALLY NEEDED to find a way to get 2 lefties into the first 3 games. Tampa Bay is VERY vulnerable against lefties. It's possible Danks doesn't even get a crack at it. I'd hate for that to be the case, but its possible. Kazmir, when ON, can be beyond nasty.

I predict the Sox will come back and win the next 3 or we get swept.
