  1. J.Danks with a no-no thru 5...I could just see him whirling a no-hitter thru 9 and getting a no decision as we fail to score him any runs and play extra innings. That would be SO White Sox.
  2. QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) Crede just is not good. That was a terrible AB. the guy was horrible in spring too...when is he ever going to come out of this?
  3. QUOTE(scenario @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) The guy was an absolute machine, wasn't he? A career ERA under 3.00. That's unbelievable in any era. He was. 300+ wins, 3600+ strikeouts, only Met with his number retired, one of the greatest starting pitchers to ever play the sport.
  4. Amazing....both pitchers with no-nos thru 4... I noticed GameDay is saying Danks is throwing a cutter...I know he started working on that last year. I'm starting to feel good about this kid in our rotation. If Count can pitch back to form and our top two guys don't suck eggs like they did the last two nights, we COULD Have a reasonable rotation here.
  5. QUOTE(scenario @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:50 PM) I figured. But Seaver is probably my all-time favorite pitcher. I felt the need to defend his honor. Hey dude, I liked Seaver myself...that's why I used him. No need to defend him to me, I loved watching him pitch myself.
  6. QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) i think he was being sarcastic. LMAO...I was being sarcastic.
  7. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) I've been seeing at 90-92 Good, I'll quit looking at those numbers now. I knew JD was 90-93...looking good thru 3 for the kid. I like it.
  8. Please tell me GameDay is wrong...Danks with an 86 and 84 mph fastball????
  9. Not all Tigers are Bengals, but all Bengals are Tigers.
  10. Im pretty negative about the team right now, but positives: -Save Dotel's meltdown the job turned in by Masset and Booner was awesome...this game could have been 15-2 without their work. -It's EARLY, but it looks like maybe our big boys won't have a miserable slump like they did early in the season last year. -The team battled. Down 7-2 I thought it was over, but the team fought back and chased the Cy Young winner from last year. -The newcomers Swish and OCab look like great table setters. -Chicago is still >>> Cleveland
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) No way should he be allowed to face Carmona. Ramirez should have never been allowed to be the opening day CF starter. I just can't fathom why Brian Anderson didn't do enough to prove himself this spring. Dude showed up with the right attitude, played balls to the wall, and is a great defensive outfielder. How much CF did Alexei play in Spring? It's almost like Uribe at 2nd and Anderson on the bench was a foregone conclusion before spring training even began.
  12. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) It's the maintenance of success that separates mediocre GMs from good GMs from great GMs; right now, it appears as though KW falls into the former right now. Outstanding point.
  13. Booner just dices up the INdians. Early returns on the bullpen = A+
  14. Geeze...he gave it another run. Thome looks awesome early.
  15. Come on guys...we need to get these 2 runs back before we get to our (pathetic) 8th and 9th hitters.
  16. Well Masset did his job...wanna see it more that today, but this is indeed something to build on.
  17. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 04:40 PM) Man and to think someone put in a claim on Uribe and KW could have stuck someone with that contract and waste of space....and he pulled him back..WTF was that?? A joke is what it was. Put the guy on waivers then he ends up starting at 2nd base. Pathetic.
  18. Uribe and Crede both need to go. That was disgraceful. Snacks and Cakes with the hat-trick today, 3 up, 3 times Kd....
  19. Crede and Uribe...we need AT LEAST ONE MORE run here. Two would be perfect and would square us back up.
