Exactly it’s on the offense not the manager. Your ace gave you a chance your best hitter had 3-0 with runners to bring home and choked on his spaghetti. It’s on them. Crochet needs time to learn and that’s fine . I say trade and get this team better. I suggested two players blocked to trade. Do it.

sorry for the ignorance here, but if we acquire any guy that their contract runs out this year ( escobar, bryant, story) and we dont resign them or make them a qualifying offer do we get a sandwich pick in the next draft? I am unsure how that all work and could use some insight from the members on this board.

I love stories like this as everyone bashes owners and call them cheap I am sure JR does a lot for a lot of people. Thanks for posting. The popcorn megaphone should make a return I know it was still there in the late sixties and 70’s. That old ball park was really fun.

thanks, good to know. took an aweful chance with this guy and the barrington guy. both seem to walk people or seem wild. I get nothing is perfect with this, but seems like a ton of risk here. maybe thats the new strategy, draft your top two or maybe three guys and the rest is a total crap shoot.
