I really don't see the Angels being able to afford him. They are pushing hard for Nomar or Cabrera along with another starter like Russ Ortiz or Paul Byrd and Mike Myers for the pen. Remember all the money they spent last offseason on Vlad, Colon and Escobar.

I still don't think RJ would approve a deal to come to us. However, a 3-way trade with the Yankees and us getting Vazquez, who has no veto power, would be doable.

Well our company just got bought out for the second time this year, and this time nobody will retain their jobs. The good thing for me is that once they let me go, I will get a 6-month salary retention bonus in a lunp sum check, plus the ability to transfer to the new company's site in Tempe, AZ. So that's what the family is doing. Time to buy an AFFORDABLE house and stop moving from apartment to apartment. Gonna miss my trips to Anaheim to see the Sox, but maybe I could fly instead of driving. At least, however, I can see my first spring training in person with my boys (the Angels are in Tempe but Tucson is not too far a drive for me to see the Sox). Anyone know the interleague schedule for next season and who the Sox are playing? Would love to see them in Phoenix...11 minutes from where I'm moving to. Well, I'll probably be gone for a while (not like I post much nowadays anyway), so have a nice holiday everybody! Ug

Well the trade was vetoed without a message as to why. Brad Johnson IS NOT HURT, Minny. He was simply pulled from last week's game and is starting this week. As for Priest, well he's questionable. Because of "buyer beware" and the fact that I accepted the trade an hour before ANY game was played on Sunday, it gets vetoed? Very unfair. Have a great season, fellas. Dude I think I saw you. My wife pointed out a guy with a black Sox jersey on and said "he has a Sox tattoo.." but you had just walked around the corner before I could see. It was at a concession stand in left field, I was smoking with my wife and was wearing a Bulls jersey with a Sox cap. Anyways, what a crappy game. The only good that came out of it was the autographs I got from Baj, Adkins, Cotts, Burke and Shingo (in Japanese).

Would love to meet any Cali Sox fans who are going to Sunday's game. I know it's opening day for football and all but I'd rather do Magic Mountain with the wife and kids on Saturday then a day game sunday before I head back down to SD.
