  1. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) I still think a new SS is our biggest need right now... I concur....and he's sitting in our freaking dugout!!!!
  2. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) As much as I hate ESPN, PTI is still very watchable. When its Kornheiser and Wilbon, and not some fill-in, there isn't a better sports show on the planet... ...besides George Michaels Sports Machine, of course. OMG that show is still on in Chicago? LMAO! Yeah I listen to PTI after work on my way home, and they show no bias whatsoever. Has anyone seen Andrew Cicilliano's show on Fox Sports? I was getting ready for work today and Fox sports was showing some good highlights of the weekend and it sounded like Andrew's voice narrating...
  3. I haven't read anything about a possible shakeup of the rotation starting Friday, but several sports sites has Contreras going Friday, followed by Buehrle and Garcia. i am then assuming Garland would go Tuesday followed by Vazquez. Can anyone confirm this or have a link to a source?
  4. Good stuff, Mike. Wife and I made Gallery #2 back in March (picture #5). Shawnise Rogers (center) and Thomas Rogers (right) of Phoenix, Ariz., at their Sox wedding in January 2006 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. (Thomas Rogers, Phoenix) March 29, 2006
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 12:04 PM) SS - Urine If that was intentional it's not that funny, if unintentional, hilarious. It was intentional, but just an ongoing joke since his arrival a few years back. Just a jab at his free-swinging ways, not his defensive presence.
  6. I've been wanting to do this poll ever since I finished a fantasy draft last month. the league has 20 teams, and everyone selects their favorite or a team they like, etc. Anyways, you can only draft current and former players of that team. I got the Sox (obviously), and since Buehrle, Garland, Iguchi, Jenks, Cotts, Crede, BMac and B. Anderson have not played for any other teams, nobody could draft them but me. Then I got lucky there wasn't a Brewers, Tigers or A's team....so that made Frank, Carlos and Maggs untouchable for me as well. Here's the lineup I ended up with: C - AJ 1B - Thomer 2B - Iguchi 3B - Crede SS - Urine OF - Pods OF - Maggs OF - Lee Util - Thomas Bench - Mackoviak, Rowand SP's - Buehrle, Garland, D. Wells, El Duque, Fogg RP's - Jenks, Foulke, Cotts, Shoenweiss, Howry, Vizcaino I then turned around and traded Maggs to the Pirates for Oliver Perez (ughhhhhh!), and just accepted a trade of Melvin Mora for Garland. What do you guys think? I swept my matchup last week, mainly due to Thomer.
  7. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 11:41 AM) What?!? No Fred Manrique? Other active players I missed because it cut me off were Marte, Vizcaino, Graffy, Valentin, Kip and Fogg. They all blow anyways.
  8. Just a fun poll until gametime. I notice a whole lotta love still for Aaron since he was traded, and I think it would be interesting to see how much love he gets vs. Frank.
  9. Can I get the link to the chatroom please? Anyone in there?
  10. QUOTE(G&T @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) Comcast is starting their coverage at 6 so I guess around then, but that might be because they're doing Sportnite. 6 or 6:30 Why in hell are they presenting the rings on Tuesday rather then Opening night???
  11. My wife and I made the new cut. Check out pic #5 on the new pics updated today.
  12. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) Twins are my pick to win it if we don't. Based off what? Liriano and Crain? What offense do they have?
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/preview06/ne...e=06expertpicks This is unreal. Only Rogers has the Sox repeating, while several writers has the TWINS winning the Central. WTF ARE THEY SMOKING?!?!?!? Phil also picks Paulie and Mark for MVP and Cy Young of the AL, respectively. I like having his last name. :finger to all the other momos.
  14. You guys wanna see something cool? Wife and I renewed our vows in Vegas this past January, and since we did our first wedding HER way, she let me do this one the only way I'd do it.
  15. 50-60 is more realistic, especially if Uribe stays in the 2 hole with his free swing.
  16. Cactus and El Mirage. Just on the outskirts of Surprise. I work in Scottsdale though. Imagine that commute...
  17. Yeah Bell has all them lights. Where do you live?
  18. Hey Gold, this sig you made for me used to have the emblems of my favorite teams below my name (Sox, Pads, Bulls, Suns, Bears, Chargers). Any reason why they might not be showing up anymore?
  19. I live in Surprise, and if you show up an hour or so before gametime, you will get some good autographs. Surprise is a smaller stadium then the others, so you're pretty much on top of the action. As for Titty bars, well you'd have to go to the ones near downtown Phoenix for that. there's a stretch of them off University Ave, on the way to the airport. There's also some off of Van Buren closer to the city limits. Hope this helps.
  20. QUOTE(TheHawkaroo @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) I don't think the A's have resigned him yet. Strictly a left specialist as his ERA against righties is just bad. He was offered arbitration by them last night and looks like they want him back.
  21. Unless KW pulls off another trade, with Myers now set to become a Yankee, here are the only 4 FA options: Alan Embree Buddy Groom Wilson Alvarez Chris Hammond Hammond's going to be 40 in January, though he had a 5-1 record with a 1.11 WHIP in 55 games for the Pads (in garbage time mainly), Groom is already 40 and only pitched in 23 games last season (for good reasons - he stunk even with the D'Backs), Alvarez only appeared in 21 games last season due to injuries (35 years old). Embree is also 35 but had an era over 7.00 for both Boston and NY. Which all means KW needs to make a trade, and fast.
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) I still think Borch remains a better and cheaper option. Oh wait, you were serious?
  23. Well now word has it they are really looking to sign Nomar. Why? I have no clue.
  24. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) It's more of a money issue for the Padres. I think they're ready to up they're offer to Hoffman now. I'd rather that happen, than he go to Cleveland. Trust me, this is the only positive coming out of this. As a Padres fan I am upset to see Loretta go, but would have been even more upset if they included Aki Otsuka for David Wells, which was the original proposal.
  25. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) It was for Borch not Crede. Interesting move here, basically guys who havent lived up to their potential being swapped for one another. That's right, my mistake. I don't remember what I thought then about the proposed deal. After Crede's playoff performance, Burroughs would have been gone this offseason anyways.
