I'm kinda late here, but I must say those saying this is a bad signing is crazy. The trib said the contract can be worth up to $4 with incentives. That is CHEAP for a guy like Hernandez. We would have overpaid for Clement, we would overpay for Odalis Perez and we would overpay for Milton. This signing gives us flexibility for getting that 2B/Util like an Eckstein or Cora. This is an excellant move by KW. Garland is the #5 though, IMO.

Thank GOD my Pads got Dave Roberts without giving up Linebrink or Otsuka. That would have been a HUGE mistake. Instead, they rid themselves of Payton's awful contract and free up some money (but they'll probably sit on it like we have done thus far...lol)

Well Pain and Sweat felt the pain yesterday. And damn, I switched Droughns to start and benched Larry Johnson too. Thank God I had Volek going. Gotta love the pickups I have made this season. Johnson, Volek, Droughns (worthless now but got me to the playoffs), Housh and Goings. Gonna be hard to beat in the Finals.

I have nothing but respect for Manning also, but now I gotta root hard against him as he faces my SUPER CHARGERS! I think he'll tie the record but not break it Sunday. Chargers D is underrated.

I remember calling Buehrle's future greatness back in 2000 when Manuel was looking to see who was the best 5th starter while some of the starters were injured. I remember he kept rotating the 3 B's (Buehrle, Barcelo, Biddle) and I kept saying how I felt Mark had the best stuff out of the 3 and the other 2 would be best suited for BP work. Of course, I was right about Loaiza's season in 2003 also, but that came crashing down.
