I'm thinking too big and well backed to fail. But it would be interesting. I've almost stopped using the platform.

I like the pinstripes. I didn't like this year's city connect and I usually am a big fan. The red ones from the 70s were also nice.

White Sox interested in Athletics Catcher Sean Murphy

Given the team's propensity to not openly discuss injuries I'm willing to accept there was something wrong this past season. Given the team's propensity to not talk openly about injuries and the curse of the franchise, I'm willing to accept that it is permanent. -
While I tend to agree with your post, any baseball fan should be cynical. Sosa - Mac turns out to be a juice fest. Bonds was the best player illegal drugs could produce. Smash brothers were sticking needles in each other's asses. The Astros were banging garbage cans and adjusting the AC system. How do you trust anyone isn't getting the benefit of cheating?

Bowden wakes up tomorrow, hungover and moans "I'm never drinking with Larussa again"

Sometimes money isn't the driving force. But for fans there are two kinds of athletes. Greedy who only care about the money and not winning and stupid ones who walk away from better paying contracts.

Or did in this case. Giving someone candy that you tossed in a urinal is pretty gross. I see both sides. I did plenty of embarrassing things as a teenager. I'm glad no records exist.

Older Americans spend more on lottery tickets so it could be assumed they win more often. Anyone over 50 might not live long enough to connect that last check. Although it does go to their estate. But that's one hell of a direct deposit each year. Imagine living pay check to pay check with that as your check lol -
He might want to live elsewhere. Family issues. Thinking about retiring. People quit companies and join others for a lot of reasons.

Glad to see friends and family hiring is still alive and well.

Did someone forget to tell him Tony is gone?

The $2 billion is if you take the thirty year annuity which earns about 5% annually (which no one has picked in years). The cash value is about half, then 34% or so in federal taxes, your state taxes (zero in Texas), and any lotto specific taxes (NY has the highest). -
https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/06/sport/boston-bruins-part-ways-mitchell-miller-reaj/index.html Tough situation. The kid screwed his future NHL career as a 14 year old. I use these examples with my students.

I think that's a fair statement. That point was exactly why I was so surprised back then when many people here wanted Hunch or Cora as our manager. Good thing we got rid of Dallas Keuchel or our win would have been tainted.

I'd be a hypocrite if I said always and forever. I'm certain many thought that of the Black Sox.

The worst season possible is finally over.

Occam's Razor would conclude it was simply a heart issue and nothing more. But damn that's boring. Most of the intriguing story lines, passed out pre game, needing rehab, losing record are stuff players would know.
