MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - A Canadian who screamed obscenities, punched a flight attendant in the stomach and urinated in the aisle after he was refused alcohol during a flight was jailed for three months Thursday. Elguiz Santana Canales Villatoro, 39, from Canada, became drunk and abusive four hours into a Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong to the southern Australian city of Melbourne on Dec. 3, prosecutors said Thursday. When cabin crew refused to serve him any more alcoholic drinks, Villatoro screamed obscenities and punched the seats in front of him, forcing flight attendants to relocate passengers, state prosecutor Daniel Caporale told Melbourne Magistrates Court. He then punched a flight attendant in the stomach, threw his shirt at a flight attendant's face and urinated in the aisle and against the toilet door, Caporale said. Villatoro, whose home town was not given, pleaded guilty to three charges of assault and one of behaving in an offensive manner. Magistrate Terry Wilson said Villatoro's behaviour had been "abominable" and "unforgivable" making the trip an "upsetting experience" for passengers and crew. Wilson told Villatoro he should have been aware, living in North America, of the fear his actions would cause "after what happened in New York where planes were used to inflict great misery on a lot of people."

After reading about the google bomb technique of linking miserable failure to George W, I got to thinking could we post enough links so that greatest baseball team links to here? Perhaps we we all posted it in our sigs for a few days.

Miserable Failure? Google Trick Says It's Bush By Richard J. Dalton Jr Staff Writer December 6, 2003 A search for the phrase "miserable failure" on the popular search engine Google brings up the biography of George W. Bush on the official White House Web site, in one of the more prominent search-engine manipulations with political overtones. The phrase appears nowhere in the bio. But computer users rigged the search engine results by posting the phrase on Web pages and linking it to the Bush bio, in a technique called Google bombing. "I thought it was absolutely one of the funniest ideas I've ever heard," said Don Waller, owner of Don Waller Interactive, a Web design company in Islip Terrace and a blogger who joined the prank in late October. "I just decided to jump in with it." "This is just one of those spontaneous things that a blogger will post something and other bloggers will say, 'This is a great idea.'" From Newsday

Instead of 20 different threads, could we try and keep today's news in one thread?

The July game won't work, I'll be out in West Texas camping. Maybe the September game will work. Isn't that Labor Day weekend?

You can turn off avatars and sigs in your control panel. And then turn them back on when you are home and it's your special time.

9/10 and 15/15 but I may have mispelled my answers here.

I'm Jim, but you can call me Alex BTW pa, if Heather reads your bowing to someones genetalia, she's going to be pissed.

Hmmm thinking the guy kicks my ass in Best to Add, now wants to meet me and rub it in in person . . . Cool. Dallas is about 400 miles from me, so it would need to be a weekend game. Maybe sox4lifeinpa could join us as well.

Gee Soxfest, you probably should have been nominated for the underated award.

Last time I was there the whole thing looked like a spider hole And his Minister of MisInformation is a classic Cub fan. Trying to confince us how the losers are the winners
-
See Gash, you do get picked on for just breathing. I went back over the posts to see how that happened, amazing.
-
I voted for you . . .
-
He has no job and was getting bombed every day. Didn't Elia claim that was a requirement for Cub fans?
-
Hmmm how many are registering just to vote? Guys, I know this board has a Chicago root . . . I gotta go, my wife, son, daughter, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law and a half dozen friends all want to join
-
LMAO. A couple years ago, when I was back in Chicago and had to tolerate Cub fans, a buddy tried to compare that trade with Shammy SoSo.

I'd say this. Jerry please, please try and win next season with this nucleus. If it fails, then I'll endure another couple years of $60,000,000 payrolls and rebuilding. I promise. Looking at what we have, and knowing we may be swapping star for star, this team should win their division. Looking at what the BoSox are doing we may find our WS path with be through Boston, but I'll take my chances.

at Brando's tip in. We clearly had two very popular posts last year. Heather, you are one up on me, I've never visited that thread. If we did decide on a Sox thread and non sox thread, there wouldn't have been another nomination besides MOTHERF*CKING in the Sox category. And really no need to vote. I believe most of the committee thought of this as a community award not an individual. Since MFing had 609 replies and almost 6,400 views, it was the soxtalk community that made it great. BTW, I was shocked to see the Post hot chicks pics here thread has had 970 replies and almost 12,000 views.

IMHO the Players Union has that in their agreement with MLB so that no player could be pressured into restructuring his contract. If there was that loop hole, clubs could pressure players to say they want to drop their salary by X dollars to help the team, etc. That's one of the advantages of associations for the members and one of the thorns for owners.

Not anymore. I use to ice fish all winter, I loved winter backpacking in Wisconsin. & years of hot weather and all that acclimizing is gone. However, when it's 103 I'm still carrying my golf bag and walking 18.

Shouldn't this be in Help? Geez and he's Admin of the year
-
Would that be the August 7th game?
-
We could put anybody on the field and if we're winning games, attendance is up. Sox fans, unlike Cub fans, aren't fooled by names anymore. I think we learned from the Santo and Kessinger years.

I'd be the guy in the corner in the snowmobile suit wimpering. I am planning on visiting during the summer, I'm looking at the schedule and figuring out which series would be best. Has there been any plans for a soxtalk party at a game?
