No enthusiasm, just going through the motions. Not even mad, just sad, very sad.
I had to go with Billy. Injured or not I remember the feeling in my stomach when I realized he couldn't close a door.
If I had to pick one factor it would be losing 8 to the Tigers.
I'm thinking of heading to the mountain for a week or so. Last time I did, we rattled off 8 wins and got back into the race. I scheduled myself to be on the ranch tonight moving a cow ot two and making plans for my Scout Troop. I'll get home late and rush to the computer and either cry or cheer.
I'm too old for this s***.

The awesome talent and variety is what I love. If I had written down my top 10 favorite Beatle tunes of all time every year for the past 30 years I bet every song would have appeared at least once. ANd no two lists would have been the same. Songs I thought were just album fillers become sentimental favorites at different times in my life.
I gave up my radio show in college which was talk/student activities to do a Top 40 which no one wanted. I "re-defined" what I considered Top 40 and instead of Me and You and a Dog Named Boo, I rocked with the Beatles, and other "pop" hits.
I just want to be there, you have to beat everyone sooner or later and I think the road to the WS is going through Oakland this year. Anyone care to take on Foulke in the deciding game?
I can't believe how much the frickin worse team in baseball history is going to have in our making the playoffs.
I like the matchups against Minny, I like the rotation with E-Lo getting us off and Bart in what will be the biggest game of the series/year to this point.
Every scenario has game three as huge
0-2 we really really have to win or it's all over
1-1 we need the edge to be plus or minus 1 1/2 game
2-0 sweep baby and they're riding shotgun, almost in the backseat.
I'm almost ready to put my head in the sand and pull it out on Friday morning. I'm too old for this. I don;t know what it is about this team, this year, that has me more emotionally involved. Perhaps I'm thinking this is the most momentum I can recall a Sox team having going into the last two weeks of the season.
Good thing I'm not a math major. Now that I re-looked at the schedule and thought about the alst couple days
ME
That quote a few weeks back from JM saying that before the season is our Garland will play a major role is coming true.
I thought with the rest day we would see E-Lo, Bart, and Mark the nest three days which sets them up to close out the season as well. Elsewhere on this site, I'm reading E-Lo, Garland, Bart. I can't find official word from JM. Anyone know?
We can still win if we go 1-2 but we'll have to hope that
A. The Tigers play soem ball
B. KC lays exhales deeply and rolls over
C. Both
2-1 would be nice.
Just as soon as the baseball season ends I'll start to pay attention to UT football (damn loss Saturday) UT-PanAmerican basketball, and play some golf. Winter is the ebst time of year down here for golf. Cool 80s temps, gentle breezes.
It is so much more fun shoveling sunshine than snow.
