Props for getting it done early. I always wonder why teams wait right up until the deadline to make a move. Too much of a chance for mistakes when you are pushing to meet a deadline. Plus some teams already know they need help or are cashing in the chips waiting for another season by June or July. The Alomar trade is the #1 example of this. Great having him before the break and rolling right into the second half.

I figure we have 2 runs by 10:00 tonight, I ain't waiting until *after* the series I figure Hawk wanted the new look and looked for an excuse.

I don't care if we have Alf in the dugout. Black, white, hispanic, mixed, or someone from the Japanese league, just win baby. Sox fans have waited all too long for a winner and maybe a few care about race (unfortunately) but I venture to say there are more fans on the north side that think race is an issue. The Sox are one of baseballs best franchises for being color blind. That guys an idiot.

I hear Hawk bet the team if they swept KC they could shave his head. Mark B. got the honors. In that spirit if the Sox score 2 runs against the Ms, I'm going to drink a lot of beer all weekend!

Isn't that the way I heard it should be . . . We have awesome offense and pitching was questionable after Mark and Bart and we were still going to win the division. I think the pitching is about what we expected coming in, just different guys stepping up. E-Lo picking up for Mark. We are still shaky at closing but there is still time for someone to catch fire the last couple of weeks and bring it home in the post season.

I am so glad DJ spent part of this season with the Sox. For most of my life, he still would be a Sox and we would still be b****ing as we were eliminated from the division race. It sure feels good that the team went out and found a replacement.

sarcasm starts here -- The AL Central is such a riviting story with such marquee names; KC vs. Minny vs. Sox. (I can't get green to work) Come on, except for a few cities, nobody cares who the cannon foder will be for the Yankees, BoSox, A's and Mariners.

I've got a hunch someone is coming off our 40 man in a throw everything at 2003 move. First time ever for that feeling. Still I'm happy we can win the division with what we got.
