  1. LOL Man if those two want to dance and it will help, I'll play the tune. Think they know Acky Breaky Heart?
  2. In the playoffs do you want complete games, or 'W's? We can win without the Colon we have right now. Right, what I really want to do in the playoffs is hand the ball over to Koch. Should this be in green?
  3. http://www.sportingnews.com/voices/ken_ros...l/20030701.html f*** this: "Sorry, I can't start Loaiza in a game of this significance. I want Mulder, a lefthander, facing Barry Bonds in the first inning, Martinez available for the biggest out in the middle innings and relievers who are equally effective against lefties and righties to neutralize matchup advantages." and after leaving Frank off his all-star roster really f*** him for this quote: "Squeezing Sosa onto the roster -- a must with his bat starting to revive and the game being played in Chicago -- forces me to remove Andruw Jones. " Does he know were playing on the south side!
  4. I'll admit it, Frank's shot brought tears to my eyes. I'm almost ready to take down my JM blunder count. I was almost ready to add to it with PK batting with 2 outs but damn that worked out well!
  5. Excellent post. I'm being reminded that the games are played on grass not paper.
  6. I'm hoping that someone will cancel at the last moment and they usually look for a local guy. Perhaps Frank is selected and then Maggs or Everett may have a chance.
  7. Keep the priorities straight Have a great weekend Celebrate Thank everybody in Dallas

Hey! No Iowa bashing or I'll come down to Texas and kick your scrawny ass! Actually I have relatives in DesMoines and a very good friend in Ducorah. Nice state and what can I say home to a Cub farm team. Of course Iowa really puts the farm in farm team.
  10. Why do you think they went with the PTBNL? Did the Sox want him so bad right now or did Texas want him out right now or is it some sort of two tiered deal if he does this we get that or if he does this we get that? I'm guessing Kenny or generically the Sox wanted both trades completed the same day and didn't have enough time to get both trades fully done.
  11. 25,493 Who knows, if we get another 30,000 maybe the media will notice there's mlb in town.
  12. I just noticed I went over 1,000. Sorry, I'll shut up now.

    Professional Resume

    That sounds a little dirty
  14. Does the team really need old vets? Scotty can talk about how to not play with a headache and how to refuse to play if your number isn't called. Scotty and Horace should be looking at contenders to fill out their time. No need for them to lose 50 games at the end of their career. I was never impressed enough with their work ethic. Well maybe Horace was good. I like the guys, just don't think they fit the 2004 Bulls.
  15. I would say no because both are short term players. Keep the youth movement going.

    Professional Resume

The one page rule works if your applying for a lower level position. Two pages will not be the kiss of death. Don't not put something on teh resume because you will go to page two. Consider going to a temp agency that also does executive recruitment and let them know you would like to temp (even if you don't want to). they have excellent resume resources. And if you are using Microsoft Office log onto the office site, they have some good templates that people have uploaded.
  17. LMAO How about the zit faced 13 year old squeeking beer here! and laughing when MY vendor is slowed down from his sworn duty to get ME a beer. Little brats. Cute women who don't find me charming, cute, and funny while drunk. TVWDCA (the vendors we don't care about) who can't look at the field and realize they are just pissing people off by standing in the aisle with their f***ing cotton candy when bases are loaded with 2 outs. And all you major leaguers out there will be glad you don't have to live with the #1 annoying promo. After every foul ball we hear "That's another G&S glass F-O-U-L BALL! and then the sound of glass breaking. Every f***ing foul ball at every game. No let up. How many foul balls are hit a game 30? 40? plus we play 50 home games. I will never never ever use G&S Glass.
  18. Now coming up the #9 batter Alomar on deck the lead off man Alomar I like the looks of that order. I would leave Olivo in the 9th spot also. Hasn't Robbie been batting 3rd for the Mets?
  19. This could explain Why Ring. Another KC report indicates at least one other club was interested.
  20. White Sox get Alomar when Royals won't meet Mets' terms By BOB DUTTON The Kansas City Star Second baseman Roberto Alomar joined the American League Central playoff chase Tuesday afternoon -- but not as a member of the Royals. Instead, it was the Chicago White Sox who acquired Alomar, a 12-time All-Star, from the New York Mets in exchange for three minor-league players. The Mets also agreed to pay all but $150,000 of the $3.9 million remaining on Alomar's 2003 contract. "Roberto continues to be a player with impressive offensive ability," White Sox general manager Ken Williams said. "He gives us an experienced, battle-tested veteran who has proven he can withstand a pennant race and play big in big games." The Royals wanted Alomar, 35, for their own playoff push and had reached agreement with the Mets on financial terms. But Royals officials say they weren't willing to surrender the prospects the Mets demanded in return. So the Mets turned to the White Sox and nabbed left-handed reliever Royce Ring, the 18th overall pick in the 2002 draft. Ring, 22, is 1-4 with 19 saves and a 2.52 ERA at Class AA Birmingham. The White Sox also traded Edwin Almonte, a 26-year-old righty who is 2-6 with 14 saves and a 6.88 ERA at Class AAA Charlotte and infielder Andrew Salvo, 23, who is batting .223 this season at Class A Kannapolis and Class A Winston-Salem. Alomar returns to the American League, where he batted .313 in 11 seasons with Toronto, Baltimore and Cleveland and hit 168 of his 203 career home runs. He spent his first three major-league seasons with the San Diego Padres. Alomar came to the Mets from Cleveland in an eight-player deal in December 2001. He batted .336 with 20 home runs and 100 RBIs in his final season with the Indians but suffered through a disappointing 11/2-year stint with the Mets in which he batted only .266 last season. "Sometimes, it doesn't work for you," Alomar said. "Sometimes, you play good in some places and other places you don't play up to your potential. I'm really sad I have to leave New York on these terms, but I have to move on and go to a place where I have a chance to win." He is a .302 career hitter in 16 seasons but is batting just .262 this season with two homers and 22 RBIs in 73 games. The trade reunites him with his brother, catcher Sandy Alomar Jr.
  21. If we were starting the playoffs today and of course with us in them I would start Mark (hot hand) then E-Lo then Bart or would you start E-Lo based on performance to date.
  22. I thought it was very cool to see everyone picking E-Lo. Giving credit to a new pitch bodes well for his second half. At this point even if he pitched .500 ball the rest of the way he is way ahead of everyone's projection.
