Espn Radio reports Alomar is traded to Sox

I think the masses would agree with you. The Mets are waving the white flag and we're buying not selling. That is a f***ing great feeling. -

No shortage of guys that could be reassigned. If PK's shoulder wtarts to hurt some more perhaps he could spend some time rehabing and see what shakes out. -

Harris going to give up his #12? I believe both wear that number. -

A couple Mets fans immediatly mentioned Cotts. A couple said any top 10 or even top 15 prospect would be a steal for the Mets. Seems as if Mr. Alomar has been getting slammed by the hometeam fans. Let's hope a change in venue will be a great thing. I like the sign that we're playing to win now. -

The Mets boards are happy happy happy to get rid of him. They figure that the Sox hosed the Mets with s***ty prospects. Sounds like they think as highly of their GM as we do ours -

Mets will eat $3.9 million left on Robbie's contract By ADAM RUBIN DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER The Mets began their overhaul today, trading Roberto Alomar to the White Sox for prospects, the Daily News has learned. The deal is expected to be announced this afternoon. Alomar, a future Hall of Famer, had been a bust in his two seasons in New York. He owned a .262 average with two homers and 22 RBI this season, but could be reinvigorated by being dealt to an American League team that includes his brother, Sandy Alomar Jr. Alomar had been one of GM Steve Phillips’ high-profile acquisitions two winters ago, but the deal that included Matt Lawton, Alex Escobar and Billy Traber being shipped to Cleveland never paid dividends for the Mets. The Mets will eat the $3.9 million left on his contract this year. -
I almost like the sound of that. I can think of only a few prospects I would hate to lose in this trade.

A couple stats that in some cases surprised me. In the AL (14 teams) the Sox rank 13th in Avg. 12th in Runs 11th in 2B 12th in 3B 5th in HR 12th in TB 5th in BB 11th in SB 4th in ERA 2nd in CG 12th in SV 5th in ER 5th in fielding percentage 4th in errors I knew we where big, slow power hitters and the hitting stats tend to prove that. I knew our starting pitching was carrying us but I didn't realize just how well they really are doing. I thought our fielding really sucked. That was the biggest surprise of all. So looking at what additions could help some speed, hitting for average, and some relieve pitching. What to give up possibly a starting pitcher. Bart? E-Lo? I hope everyone had a nice lunch.

I agree but some will point out for every S there's a M

shhh don't mess with a good story. Did you hear how Hillary shut down Harvard and defended cop killers? . . .

No way dude, it is mine, and I am using it to buy the White Sox! I will be the next person that all Sox fans hate I'd be copying down everyone of your posts and holding you to it . . .

I can't see giving up on E-Lo. Didn't he add a pitch this year? He m,ay just be a late bloomer capable of 15 wins for the enxt couple of years. I would really like to see Mark, Bart, and E-Lo for the next 3-4 years.

I can spend money Did you look at those greens? I believe they are much less. How about a new cell phone with camera, pda, etc.?

Did you see Kariya is a free agent? I have full faith in Bill Wirtz that he will aggressively pursue and woo Kariya I almost missed the green. I believe the proper spelling is Bill Wirt$ or Bill Worse. Aren't the Blackhawks the only prpfessional sports team without local tv coverage? We are getting an expansion team in the Central Professional Hockey League. I've spoken with their management and these guys could run the Hawks better than Wirt$ and his boy lackey Pully Damn your getting me upset just thinking about them.

I'll be honest. When I lived in Chicago I didn't even think about going to games until the NBA and NHL season was finished so no matter how good the team was out of the shoot, I wasn't there. So somewhere around June I looked at the schedule and planned a few games. If the team sucked I would be back maybe 1 or 2 times a month. If the team was playing well or exciting 1 or 2 a week. Fairweather fan? Not really I wasn't jumping on another team either. I would just prefer to watch bad baseball in the privacy of my own living room.

No, but it makes you believe that *everyone* wants to here what you are shaying.

Price, no object. The Bose is a great idea.. but we just furnished the house so we're covered there. I recommend it to anyone looking for a system though The golf thing does sound good.. He's got HUGE club speed and can drive near 300 yards.. but the short game could use some help. And it's advantageous to me to help him out there since I want his ass on the tour soon so I can quit work.. Thanks for the great ideas Tex!! If price truly is no object, an indoor putting surface is way cool. These aren't just foam rubber fake things., The good ones act just like a real green, with good contours, and build in the floor holes. http://www.dreamgreen.com/ http://www.stevelaporte.com Or fr those long Chicago winters how about an golf simulator? http://www.holidaygolf.biz/ I found it much simpler to just move to Texas. I still enjoy 4 seasons, now they are Spring, Summer, Bake, and Broil.

What's the price range? A friend on mine just received the BOSE stereo for his birthday. This guy hates everything, said it's the coolest gift he has ever received. Dave Pelz Golf Schools http://pelzgolf.com/ comes through Chicago pretty regularly. Excellent short game instruction. Took my handicap from 10 to 6 in about four weeks. I believe one of the pros at Cog Hill is a Top 50 PGA teaching pro in the country. There are several golf training devices that are good. Weighted clubs to build up the golf muscles. If you need some more help let me know
