  1. I wouldn't be too quick in getting rid of Bart. I like the start of a rotation with Bart and Mark. E-Lo may be around for a few more seasons, maybe not. Garland is starting to impress me. He reminds me of my golf game one or two bad innings (holes) away from really being a player. At worse he's the third best starter we have this season and probably our 2nd best. I'm going to post a poll regarding our future at pitcher and see who would pick Colon next season over Mark, E-Lo, etc.
  2. When you're as far back as we are, every series becomes important. You are correct. If we could cut the lead in half or better life will be good. 3-3 or 4-2 against minny would really help.
  3. Sox Harris 2 Crede 3 6 Jimenez Yes CHW Yes Tie Breaker: 10
  4. Bad economy is JM fault. Lack of success has caused people not to replace their Yankee caps with Sox caps thereby causing cap manufacturers and retailers into a tailspin. This has a ripple effect in teh apparel industry as sales of matching shirts, etc. haven't taken off as well. The lack of guys heading to the mall to pick up their new caps causes traffic in the mall to drop also reducing the pull through sales to otehr retailers. See JM is responsible for the bad economy.
  5. I agree we have the best health care, the problem is paying for it. How many people would consider leaving the US to have surgery elsewhere? How many people travel to the US for care? The problem is the battle between the insurance companies and the health providers. They both claim it is so bad yet I don't see any of them going out of business. The problem is they both want more profit, the insurance companies do not care about the quality of your treatment, just what it costs. I know many do not want the government running their healthcare. Instead we are going to have for profit insurance companies telling you what treatment you will get and where. They will also explain that they need to make a profit for shareholder return. Once insurance companies begin to merge and the choices get smaller, we'll have a dozen or so large, for profit, insurance companies controlling what medicine you can take, which Doctor to go to, what kinds of treatment you can have, etc. I have heard as many of my Canadian friends complain about their system as I have heard US friends complain about their insurance companies. The thought that we can't build a better system then Canada and the UK is crazy. Imagine the US saying we would be worse than either of those two countries.

    Damn

Maybe the Bulls will do better than 7th in next year's lottery. It's going to be another long season. I hope Williams fully recovers, it's a sad day for his family.
  7. Damn he forgot what 7 runs looks like on the board. Settle down Mark and get out of this inning. I would really like to see him put together back to back games. And then three peat, a couple times
  8. Damn that doubles their run total for the series. I was watching the game yesterday and seeing all the sweatshirts and people bundled up. Looks like a cold winter day to me. I'm sitting about 15 miles from Mexico near the Gulf of Mexico.
  9. Ahmm, Southsider being a betting man how does your presiction look now?
  10. I assume you're a Jim in Florida? I'm a Jim in Texas.

  12. Good afternoon everybody. Nothing like fun at the old ballpark! No TV, no mlb.com "tv" Does anybody know if the radio coverage is for all the games or does that have some blackout dates as well?
  13. MB sitting in the dugout thinking 12 runs?! That's a f***ing months worth when I'm pitching . . .
  14. It's turning into a f***ing track meet!
