Just wondering what's being said on the sports talkers in Chicago? I'm assuming there has to be a fire JM and/or KW ground swell.

I'm still opto-mystic. No clue why. I agree with all the analysis that says we suck but, in the end, I keep thinking this looks like a team that could get in the playoffs. We may get swept once we're there, but at least have a post season. I can't believe that Maggs will finish the season under .300. I beginning to believe PK has something wrong and can't figure out why the team doesn't just deal with it now. Frank, I'm not so sure this is as good as it gets. The starting pitching for the most part is better than I expected. The closer less so. I thought this was a 7-3 maybe 8-2 stretch coming up with a major building of momentum now 6-4 may be a reason to rejoice. Still 6 out in May isn't that bad . . .

Who the f*** would want Carlos Beltran??????? Yep. he would definately mess up the great team chemistry we have going. Plus how could we get him in the lineup?

They aren't hitting with the bases empty, they aren't hitting (unless dp count) with guys on base, they aren't hitting early, they aren't hitting late. Is it too much pressure? Is it diminishing skills plus undeveloped skills multiplied by a slump? I can't figure out what's wrong and I have zero faith that JM and KW can figure it out. When was the lsat time they looked like they were having fun? Have the time it looks like they're holding in a bowel movement. You have to still have hope but the only path to the playoffs will be to catch the Twins and Royals.

There is plenty of blame to go around. If it was just a couple players a trade or two would help but it's almost every hitter. Step 1 was adios Ward and add Walker. Give him a couple of weeks at least. By the end of this month if we haven't moved to .500 (min) then JM has got to go. This is the best stretch of schedule to make up some ground. Tigers commit 3 errors and we come up f***in' empty. Can it get any wrose

Looking at the schedules for Minny, KC, and us, we should pass KC and only be 2 or 3 behind the Twins at month's end. If not KW and/or JM should be calling their travel agent(s).

It sure is fun joining a board, reading through the archives. As I was reading I kept looking for the prize, a car, season tickets, all this for bragging rights? God I love being a Sox fan! Before they made home field advantage a part of the deal I stuffed the ballot for Sox players and tried to figure out some good matchups on the NL side. Now I'm actually trying to pick the best AL team and picking all the NL stiffs. Anyone trying to help the NL? Loaiza should be a lock unless disaster strikes after that maybe someone gets hot in time, I would guess Maggs. We should receive one sympathy pick at a position. Who knows maybe a farewell spot for Frank, which is the only way he sees another All-Star Game.
