  1. Tough week for the guy guys
  2. How does JR know about Uber?
  3. I enjoyed watching him play.
  4. Damn, that's more research than I did for a MA.
  5. The next manager will lose his job and 200 games by 2026. He's being hired to be fired.
  6. What this team needs are hard hitting journalists. They change the world.
  7. I'm looking forward to buying into the hype of our MiLB teams. I'm going to bask in the feeling of it's going to get better. I'm going to believe the next manager is going to grow with the team. I'm too old to be pessimistic. Life is too precious.
  8. You made that sound like it was a bad season 😁
  9. And we'll still be here. Lol insanity
  10. Exactly the statement that most organizations would send out. Boeing's mistakes killed people and they said about the same. Nothing he said was going to make anyone feel any better, there was no action to be taken. He's got this off season to win back fans. They are winning games in MiLB, independently rated by outsiders the farm system has jumped up in the ratings. The team may have won another ten games by rushing a couple guys up but didn't. But Jerry is still the owner and Getz is still the architect. They will not hire anyone as manager that's going to make us jump for joy, that person wouldn't take the job at any price.
  11. And get rid of the next guy when they lose 100 next year. I'm fact plan on three or four one year GMs and managers.
  12. I think there was a mistake. He asked for hospital patients to play for the team. It's a tradition he can't stop.
  13. Former catcher is always a plus in my book for no good reason. He's 53 years old so a few years as manager and enjoy his retirement.
  14. So what sources do you trust?
  15. I thought it was dumb to say he wasn't going to be considered. Maybe there was a silent "unless he does exactly what we say".
  16. We don't have patience for a grow with the team. If the next guy lasts two years he's doing well.
  17. Agreed. I'd go further and say all the comparisons are comparing apples and oranges even within baseball.
  18. Thankfully he didn't ask for money or time. Most fans have turned them down for that. What are the choices? A. Stay a fan and be angry all the time. B. Drop them and find another team. C. Ignore them for a couple seasons (be patient) until something with getting excited happens. JR moves on for example.
  19. Doesn't care or doesn't put up with it? If they hired him to put an end to it, bravo for realizing the problem. It was just bigger issue than one coaching staff could contain.
  20. He has to live in Detroit. Chicago is a major market. I'm not certain it's that smart of a move.
  21. Not my system, just one list I found. I'm a data and stat person. It seems like there should be good analytics on something this important. The ranking is flawed because payroll is used to determine a value of injuries. We're trying to quantify approach to injuries. 12 teams had more players injured. Only five teams lost more days total, which is evidence that they are out more days per injury. So the theory is if they were out more initially the over all total would be less. I'm trying to see if there is some way to calculate which teams are doing it better.
  22. It is. I see players in other teams getting injured, and reinjured. I'm wondering how much worse the Sox are compared to the other teams. If we look at days on IR it should be less because we rush guys back. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/injured/_/year/2024/view/team The Sox are tenth in total days missed. Ironically it seems that KC has the best and Texas the worst.
