  1. Too much work and things left to chance. Injuries, affairs, it's just too hard to guarantee a good team. Easier to move.
  2. Would you trust the Sox organization with your development and career? I can't imagine being a young guy with a dream of playing in the majors and winding up in the Sox organization. On one hand you probably aren't being blocked by an All Star, future HoF, level player. On the other hand the organization hasn't developed anyone in a long time. Do you listen to them? Hire a private coach? Trust? And how can you be a coach in this environment? You have to realize any veteran is going to be rightfully skeptical about any changes you suggest.
  3. We really don't save much money after subscribing to a few channels. Amazon makes it so easy to add channels.
  4. Nashville is a great city. Mexico City is a larger market and would attract national attention in a country where baseball is popular.
  5. We cut the cord. Only streaming.
  6. "now anybody could have him". I hope he grabs the opportunity. Here's the real issue for him. Would you trust the Sox coaches regarding anything? Pitch selection? Technique? Training? He's really screwed here.
  7. Deposit, deposit, deposit. Add bodies, the more the merrier.
  8. I agree. I also realize the early casts had a much lower bar to surpass. There really wasn't anything like it on mainstream TV. I'm so old that I went from We'll meet you at the bar after SNL to I'm going to stay awake to watch the end of SNL to I'll stream it later. I'm going to bed
  9. I guarantee nothing will change while JR is Chairman. Both of our guarantees really don't mean much. It can get worse™
  10. It could attract Spanish speaking players. Although our governor might try to stop the team from playing in Texas.
  11. The corridos created to honor JR will be real tear jerkers.
  12. Weekend Update has never been better than the last couple years, but overall yeah, the show has been funnier.
  13. A wouldn't tomorrow suck to learn the job will be done by a committee of Williams, LaRussa, and Hawk after consulting JR? It can get worse™
  14. Does it matter? AAA is now in Chicago. Target 2027 to start multiple championship opportunities.
  15. I'm so glad we have old people here who get obscure 20th century references. ❤️
  16. Only half the time. Cheaper taxes. Lower cost of living. Filled stadium.
  17. I'm wondering if they could negotiate an incentive filled contract extension.
  18. Prolly. But seriously, as a veteran would you make any changes based on this organization's coaches? What we don't know is if the changes were something the organization was trying to get him to make and he refused and we dumped him. Then when he heard it from someone he respected he made the change. I'm not trying to make excuses for our staff, rather point out how bad we think they are and probably how bad players may think they are.
  19. I spit coffee. Now I have to change my shirt.
  20. Not all of them. I'm thinking some knew that championships weren't built on their (insert soon to be injured body part). Others who had been here knew the smoke and mirrors and internal incompetence. Guys who signed circa 2020 where the one really fooled. I'm not certain where to place Liam. Questionable body part or fooled you too.
  21. JR is following the As playbook. In two years fans will help him move. Guadalajara will be a huge market. But Mexico City makes more sense. Nah nah na na hey hey hey goodbye
  22. Grandal is one of us. In 2020 he signed a contract expecting to be part of a window of multiple championship opportunities. Like hundreds of thousands of Sox fans, he was excited and pumped for the future. He thought one day he and Leury the Legend would be on a float heading down Michigan Avenue. ? By 2023 he is part of the biggest s%*# show in sports and like hundreds of thousands of Sox fans is saying "f*** this s%*#, this franchise sucks, I want out". Like many of us, by the All Star break he didn't want to watch any games. He wanted to go to the lake with his family. Can we blame him? He too was fooled by JR and his minions. Lucy pulled the football on him. We can look away, he can't. Bwahahaha. Enjoy the millions, you earned it for enduring years of this. He's one of us. Welcome to the nightmare.
