I think this team could break the record of 15 consecutive losses. I think they have the offense and bullpen, two key ingredients, to make that happen. I am worried about Cease tossing a shut out in a 1-0 win.

The guys many want to keep are the same guys that fetch the most in a trade and the most likely to not sign another contract with this team.

We had an actor in a show I was doing bring a real gun instead of the cheesy prop they gave us. (Several cast members all contacted the producer and he was instructed to never again bring in.) But it was during that show I realized I handled the prop differently than I would have a real gun. I couldn't bring myself to point it at anyone. I wonder if a veteran actor like Baldwin would have had that same hesitation. If so, I believe he was 100% certain it wasn't a live round. After the restart they invested in 100% replicas. I hope that becomes the industry standard so this could never happen again.

There are some franchises that you just shouldn't give up on until the all star break. This isn't one of them.

I know it's only April but this season has died. I'm at acceptance with a garnish of apathy. The team has taught me to work through this quickly, I've had about forty seasons of practice. Looking ahead to the next time they are competitive I'll be retired and full time traveling. I can do a road trip with them. It will be nice.
