  1. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Ok go compliment the offense instead then. I dont know if anyone agrees, but Ozuna needs more at-bats. This sick--Dh him
  2. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) Great play Pods! Contreras is showing me a lot tonight--he is really focused. Gotta remember, this series is HUGE for the Yankees.
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) If you're good I'll think about it. I am good.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ May 3, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) I don't really have a comment on this other than apparently he DID damage Sox property... But what I can comment on is that it's posted plain as day that no outside drinks are allowed in the SC. And we've many times tried to say "aww.. c'mom, please..." with a full beer and been told in not so nice terms no. Don't like it.. especially when we have a full beer, but that's the rule. As for this guy.. they have cameras in the halls, elevator entrances, and club level doors to the SC.. I'm sure whomever's story is the real one will be played. I can tell you with all certainty that the RACIST in this entire article is Mary Mitchell. She wrote an editorial about a minority owned coffee shop in my neighborhood, and claimed the police were harrassing her. However, the female african american owner failed to disclose that she was renting the coffee shop to underage folks on Friday night and the Cops would bust their drinking parts each and every Friday. The beer bottles, cig butts, and condoms were evidence enough for me that Mary Mitchell didnt do her homework. Most likely, she just finds situations where a black person is in trouble and spins it towards a racial crisis. She gets no respect from me.
  5. what does Loiaza being traded have to do with taking the cheap way out, and gambling on a bunch of bums such as Politte and Jackson?
  6. Count me in as well. you get what you pay for. Would you rather pay 15.00 and watch Cliff Politte, Willie Harris, Grilli, Gload, Ben Davis, Everitt and Joe Crede play pick up sticks with their butt cheeks?
  7. I am "whining and crying on November 17th" because we haven't done anything for 2 years now. We know the minor leagues is not worth a poop, and trading will be our likely way to go. however, in most cases you have to give up to get something back and that doesnt help our situation very much. If the white sox traded Garland and Konerko for Johnson, we would not necessarily improve unless we went out and signed a free agent to compensate for the losses. I think last year with Gordon is a perfect exmaple of over-paying...He was probably not worth what the Yankees paid him, but the Sox should have overpaid to keep him. Hey, if you want to avoid free agency because all of the top players are over-valued, go right ahead. The White Sox are becoming the NHL's version of the BLACKHAWKS. :puke
  8. Boo hoo yourself. every single year the White sox are a few pieces short of contending/winning. Free Agency is one way to fill in needs on a yearly basis--especially when we let players go via free agency or trade them at the prior years' deadline. Last year a fifth starter should have been signed, and a reliever who wasn't a "gamble." This year we need the same damn things, and we wont get them. If they prove me wrong, I will glady shut my yapper. I am a season ticket holder of many years who cannot take much more--especially since the ticket prices, parking, and booze goes up almost yearly yet the product on the field is always short of expectations. We have no farm system, we have no young talent to look forward to, and the veterans we have arent enough to get me excited about this year. The White Sox need to go for it this year, or tear it down and build a farm system.
  9. Oh please. Every offseason is the same. Don't blame people for being pessimistic because when have we signed a free agent worth a damn? Last one I remember was Albert Belle. Chicken little my ass---how about fed up and realistic?
  10. Give me a break. The Twins are much better in every facet of the game except the long ball--pitching, defense, baserunning, and timely hitting. The Sox have a decision to make shortly, either they sell the farm and get Beltran or Kendall, or they can back up the truck and re-build the farm system. I do not want to White Flag it--dont get me wrong--but we do not have ONE young player we can count on. We have a couple of outfield prospects and thats it! If we dont win now, we have to rebuild for the next couple of years. We cannot afford to be 6-7 games over .500 and finish 2nd--in a couple of years we'll be wishing we had sold off.
  11. After watching Loiaza and Diaz, there is no doubt I would get rid of Loiaza if it got us a hitter in return. He is 100% pure Vagina. I hope someone asks him after the game how that "Garcia sized contract" looks now.
  12. Exactly. Loiaza has trade value, and I wouldnt mind getting rid of him, and Diaz taking his spot. Take a gamble.
  13. There are a lot teams looking for a starter, and even though we all know he stinks, Loiaza did pitch in the AllStar game. He would command at least a very good prospect, and a lower level one also.
