The Sox locker room thinks Buehrle is close to signing a 4 yr deal from today sun-times Sox players believing the Mark Buehrle contract saga is about to end with the left-hander signing a four-year, $56 million extension -- there's a feeling in the clubhouse that the storm is about to start.

Griffith sign today...
-
and whos to say that KW wont sign Buehrle this is all part of negoations.... Im so sick that people on this board change their minds so dam quick about something... Alot of people here wanted to get rid of MB last year when he pretty much tanked the season...

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) Let's not act like the 2005 team was due to solely KW's genius. Wasn't it his Plan C or D after several other moves he wanted to make fell through? our championship team was due to KW putting an awesome team together... Most of the players on that team was because of KW

QUOTE(Beastly @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 10:11 AM) I am going to go to the game Tuesday and Wednesday, and make a big sign that says: Buehrle (check) Buehrle's Money (check) NTC and Kenny's Brain (empty check box) I am embarassed to have Kenny Williams as our GM. Honestly, I would just give Buehrle the No-trade clause and let those who want one go because you can build a good team easier with Garland, Danks and young pitching. But hey, it'll be a long five years of rebuilding. Were you embarass when KW gave us a championship...

I read on WSI that Jayson Stark believes that Buehrle will sign by monday

From the NY Post Asked yesterday about the lack of pop in the Yankees' lineup - the team began play ranked seventh in the AL in homers - Joe Torre indicated it's a concern that could be addressed through a trade. "We've lost a couple of first basemen this year, so that would be one area," Torre said. "You wouldn't replace any of the outfielders and you wouldn't replace any of the infielders or the catcher, so it's a matter of finding someone who can give you a little pop or would be a threat." Paul Konerko of the White Sox and Tampa Bay's Ty Wigginton are two of the more attractive possibilities at first base.

Bucky Dent Britt Burns

I would trade Dye and Crede to the Giants for Cain, Lowry and Fred Lewis

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 10:17 PM) KW goes out and makes one of the best signings of his tenure as White Sox GM and it takes Ozzie less than 3 weeks to f*** it up. Super. Ozzie didn't do anything wrong.. Toby has played 1b before plus he wanted to get Toby some extra at bats -
A source indicated that Sox general manager Ken Williams has been in talks with Philadelphia GM -- and good friend -- Pat Gillick about a deal that would send middle-relief help, including left-hander Boone Logan, to the Phillies for former Sox outfielder Aaron Rowand.

Saw this on another website over the next few seasons we could lose many players since we can't sign everyone so if you could only choose 3 players from this list who would you keep.. Buehrle Dye Crede Garland Iguchi AJ Vazquez my choices would be Buehrle AJ Crede

I can't wait to buy a Erstad jersey... He has been one of my fav players so it is totally awesome that he is on the Sox and I believe he will have a great season
-
My prediction for Erstad stats are Avg 282 Hr's 9 Rbi's 59
-
Erstad stats in 05 were pretty good. I would take those stats this year
-
Congrats to KW a great signing im a huge Erstad fan.. This makes our bench probably the stongest in all of baseball.. I hope Pods recovers quickly. Ever since he got married he has been injury prone
-
We get 12 games and the minor league team on the North side gets 15 televised games.. This totally sucks
-
about the Spring Training TV schedule the last two years we got to see over 20 games and this year we will only get to see 12 games.. I'm such a huge fan of the minor leagues and would love to see the prospects playing... On the air: The White Sox will televise 10 Cactus League games on Comcast SportsNet and two on WGN-TV. WSCR, the club's flagship radio station, will air 15 Spring Training games. The first televised game will take place on March 2, featuring the White Sox against the Rockies. WGN-TV will broadcast the White Sox against the Cubs on March 16 and the White Sox against Arizona on March 24. Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Darrin Jackson will handle the 12 televised games, while Ed Farmer and Chris Singleton once again will bring home the action over the radio broadcast. from whitesox.com

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 09:16 PM) I think the concern is that he would not be on the bench enough. Anything to keep Mackowiak away from CF im all for.. Just reading the quotes from Erstad agent.. I think Darin will sign with us by fri

This will be an awesome pick up for the Sox... He would make our bench alot stronger
