Plus the Sox aren't in a position where they HAVE to overpay for someone. They need help at a few positions, and maybe you overpay for a proven talent like Adrian Gonzalez. I agree with Caulfield, I don't see KW overpaying for a prospect like Jennings or even a guy like Upton (again, unless it's a deal based on Upton's current MLB value).

Overthrown WR (offensive holding anyway), run up the middle, pass to the RB for short gain, pass short of 1st down that is overthrown / off the hands of the WR.... just in case anyone not watching wants to punch something.

Bears defense can't finish it... you can't let the Eagles convert these third downs...especially 3rd and long... EDIT: As I type this, Bowman picks it. NICE!

I'm one of those Cutler apologists, but even I can't defend his horrid decision making and throws so far tonight.

I can't imagine why the Sox would be "set" at 3B with Teahen if they could upgrade at 3B (or some other position that would require Teahen to move). I mean, it's not like he's an elite defender at 3B. I think Teahen will be solidly average at 3B given a full year there, but there it would be stupid NOT to look around and see what you can get in the FA market and/or trades.

Using Teahen's flexibility during the offseason is really the smartest course of action anyway. I think most of us expect a similar FA market to last year when there were some great bargains at the end of the winter as teams did not have much to spend. As Beck pointed out, there are legit options at 3B, 2B, DH, 1B, and OF on the FA market that can help the Sox. I'm glad the Sox have the flexibility to (hopefully) get a very good player at a discounted rate that could improve our offense, defense, or both.

If you look at the Braves rotation, it makes the most sense to trade Javy. They aren't unhappy with him at all. In fact, they'd prefer to trade Lowe, but nobody is going to take on that contract. Javy is coming off a good year and has a reasonable contract (length and dollars). The Braves have a glut of pitching (including two very good young starters) but still really need a bat, preferably in the OF.

It's not really a horror flick, but I always watch The Lost Boys as a guilty pleasure this time of year.
