If I had, for the sake of argument, never seen one game, I would say we might still come back since we are only 1/3 season done
But with the way we have been playing, I just do not see how we will come back
The pitching has been very good......if only the O would come back
All we need is one season series sweep with the twinkies getting swept at the same time and we are in the 3 game range which is always something we can catch up to
The head to head games with KC and Twinkies will be huge going forward
We have to win every series against these teams going forward
Let Loiza pitch every game against the twinkies

I saw the interview and I would not be surprised if what he said is true though.

This team is just too snake bitten.....when we score, we do not pitch well, when we pitch well we do not score....and if we do both, we commit error after error

Everyone knows none of our prospects are going to pan out anyways, so why not trade them and try to improve and win right now when the division is there for the taking

I like Jeffrey Hammonds. He has good power and is a decent fielder. He would be a good pick-up.

Again today we have Olivo on 2nd with 1 out and he does not even advance to 3rd thanks to our pathetic power hitters
Again today, we have man on 2nd and 3rd in the only inning we looked like a threat on O, and we could not score with Crede playing like crap

We have no stud pitcher like Prior
Our rookies and prospects (Borchard and Crede) suck compared to theirs (Choi and Patterson)
Our manager sucks and theirs does not
They will spend more if they have to.....we will not spend more even if the world series was within our grasp
Their bullpen is awesome....ours is a freaking joke....NO ONE can stop the opposition from winning late
The Sox will not win the freaking division for the next 10 years maybe if they do not come back this year.....I can see us rebuilding big time next year if we fail this year.....

Here is what is really sad
This game was on wgn so us out of towners could see it.
Unfortunately, I had to go somewher during game time, so I set my vcr to tape it
When I got back, it was 9:45pm pacific time...my recording was going on but my TV was closed (I had my cable on to record).....I asked my wife to turn the tv on and lemme know if the game was over....I did not want to check in case the game was still on for an extra inning game....then my recording would be no fun to see.....she told me there was something else on on wgn....so I asked her to sto my recording
I rewound the game and began watching it......as soon as the D backs tied it in the 8th, I screamed and said the bastard Sox lost it again in the 9th....I just knew it
I am very optimistic, but I just knew (even when we had a man on 2nd with 2 outs and Olivo at the plate) that we would not score
Also, knowing this game probably did not go to extra innings, I just knew we had lost it
And then it happened....Olivo did not get the man on 2nd in....and as we loaded the bases in the 9th, my stomach turned as I watched the inevitable
This team jiust cannot win a close game......this simply sucks
I am so freaking disappointed it is not funny anymore

Except for Marte, who has been consistent in the bull pen. NO ONE. Manuel has to hope one of these days these idiots will start playing to their potential.....what can Manuel do when your O cannot score with a man on 1st and 3rd and no one out AGAIN AND AGAIN

It's these kinds of times that seperate real fans from casual fans.
And, from what I can tell, most have stuck around. That's good to see.
You know what though....I wouldn't mind a winning streak. Give us 5 or 6 in a row....and I'll be happy for about a week.
Guess what, I see one win and I start dreaming of us getting back into things and winning the division.....I just do not know if I can take this anymore though
I see most of the games through webcast and then highlights on wgn, but it is inevitable every time I see us with a man on base that I will read next that somebody popped to an infielder or grounded into DP

I can see Colon still getting us 20 wins......something like 20-9 over the year
The great thing about Colon is he will give you 8 or 9 innings almost every game .....and the most runs he will give up is 4 or 5 when he is not doing well....typically 0-3......which should be enough to win

It is over because of the Twins.
They are better than we are again.
Early in the year they were sucking and we, the Royals, et. all did not take advantage.
The Twins got it together and are going to have a fine year.
We, meanwhile, can't win a series against anybody.

Sad, but true...I'll be jumping for joy if we can just get over the.500 mark...And the twins are beating teams like SEA and OAK, teams that dominate us and when you win games like they did against Zito yesterday they still have some of that baseball magic in them.
We still lost this series, even though we won this game. We have to sweep the Toons, no winning 3 of 4 or 2 or 3..we need a winning streak 8, 9 in a row
We have not yet lost the series.....we can tie it tomorrow with our ace Loaiza
Of course I hope the BJs do not tear into Loaiza given they know his weaknesses etc

Lee is way too inconsistent to be considered a big bat
Frank unfortunately looks to be a shell of himself....
Maggs has been very disappointing this year.....hopefully he rebounds soon
This team just does not have the talent people think we do
This O would be OK if we had a great D from these guys....but with what we have.....we have to hope for miracles like today...AGAINST THE FREAKING TIGGERS
This offense scored 850 runs last year....and you're going to try to tell me that this offense sucks?
It is not the same team anymore.....no Kenny Lofton and no Ray Durham....

Hopefully this is what Crede needs to start hitting.
It's got to help his confidence, winning the game for us like that.

CLee has been doing decently well recently but he is by no means on a tear
PK did decent against Tor in the last game but now he is back in his crappy slump
I mean.....which player on our team is consistently performing
