  1. Uribe had unbelievable hands and one of the best arms in the game to make up for that...
  2. Definitely since the Sale Eaton and Q trades....
  3. "If the Cubs are bringing in $550 mil (3rd in the majors) then the Sox should/could be about $450 mil (similar to Braves' $473 million). They are not even close ($270-280 million, at the bottom with the A's), which is why they need a mass cleaning in the FO. (and those are direct numbers for the Cubs...not indirect related to surrounding Ricketts' funded entertainment complex). The South Loop would be a swing for the fences type deal but the current site redevelopment could get them to their goals with little investment outlay." soxmachine comments section Or why not build a new Sox stadium TOGETHER with a Star Wars-related anchor (Hobson/Lucas project) park adjacent to it? A little "big picture" vision here would help.
  4. "Right, the one potential buyer that was made public leveraged that info to further buy into another team that he already had a stake in? Sounds like a billionaire doing billionaire things to me." twinstalk The one point over there about Ishbia bring able to leverage a new stadium project as opposed to Minnesota (already having one) is yet to be seen...as well as the literally Related/78 area with retail/condos/casino/restaurants and clubs. Living in the Chicagoland area already.. will definitely have thought this future ballpark issue through. Maybe even with Melody Hobson as a partner/strategic investor? And then basically free tv to try to grow back market share from the Cubs Marquee model as the second rebuild starts to come into focus. Tray will definitely be kept busy.
  5. We'll see how many of those plays he can make ranging far to the right and either planting or doing a jump throw like Anderson.
  6. No idea who Tristan Gray is now at SS. Former Pirate. Teel at bats now attraction now.
  7. DeLoach with a solid catch in LF. Looked a lot better than Colas at least.
  8. That was the rumor...she has never commented.
  9. Vargas finally hit the ball hard. Just don't like how he stands so straight up before moving into a couch...
  10. That low and away slider the bane of Robert's existence.
  11. Surprised he can play corner outfield well too...just hasn't hit enough for a relatively high draft pick.
  12. Garrett Schoenle appearance. Already 26. Montgomery with solid play to start DP...calm reaction.
  13. Berroa might be hurt by his reaction. Or just upset. Brought Katz and Venable out. Had glove over his face. Too late to bring back Gregory Santos lol?
  14. Berroa with more hard contact...Colas 50/50 chance to pull it in. Almost hit off Oscar's head. Looks like it did on replay. Mistimed jump at the wall.
  15. Another reason not to push Colson. Trips to CLE MIN DET in April.
  16. Berroa FB way too straight and poorly located. 96 and BP. Looks like the Cubs didn't need Bregman. Got Cowles Workman Shaw Cassie.
  17. Still think starting Colson opening day is not very wise from a financial standpoint...but now there's hope again young players might sign early extensions if merited.
  18. Colson bomb to center off a veteran lefty. Low and away fastball slightly pulled. Easy power.
  19. Melody Hobson 30-40% ownership in same limited position...merely a financial investment, seemingly.
