  1. Of course. About the only positive is that Humber can stop warming up now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Tigers and Indians lost so it doesn't matter. So sick and tired of hearing that. The DBacks and Nationals win because they hustle on every play and never let up.
  2. How can we lose the game on that kind of play? He was out by 12 feet. Typical, broken bat infield hit and Thornton's wearing it as usual with the defense letting him down.
  3. You're joking, AJ. Living on the edge...living on a prayer. Back to back, Jack. C'mon, we can't lose this now. The season turns on this game.
  4. Funny....former Twin (Ramos) beats former Twin pitching for White Sox. Can we ever get a break? I guess we did in the bottom of the 10th and didn't finish it off. Or Pierre's ball going out in the 9th.
  5. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:17 PM) Silver lining: maybe Morel gets sent down to add a reliever after the game. Umm....who are we going to start at 3B?
  6. How can a ball go over your head late? Why was he playing so far in?
  7. Giants have tied the Indians and have a chance to go ahead 4-3, runners on 1st and 3rd with one out.
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) Sounds like you might wanna bring that to the attention to of a mod - stooping to that level might end up not boding well for you. I learned that recently. Or... we could just WIN THIS THING and all join hands in a hearty round of Kumbaya My Lord. I don't think I've ever said that to ANYONE at soxtalk in my life, and it wasn't the proper response....but I would almost rather be called a rapist or a baby killer. Maybe it is better to take a break when fellow White Sox fans think so lowly of each other.
  9. Let's go, White Sox!!!! Walk off time. Let's not exhaust Crain for 2 innings and then Thornton and a starter.
  10. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:43 PM) Huh? Some random person that doesn't even know me calls me racist for suggesting Jackson as a PR.
  11. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:37 PM) I saw Jackson vs. the DBs. We were impressed by his speed on the bases. Jake...F--- YOU. If you actually observe our team, you'd know he's one of the best athletes on the team. Not because he's black, but because he hustles at all times and busts his butt out there. Of course, I forgot he was already pulled from the game, but Buehrle/Danks would be fine there, too.
  12. Dammit. Lillbridge just hasn't been playing enough. Had that slider early in the at-bat.
  13. Now you have to walk AJ. Amazing game, so many twists and turns. Reminds me of the game against the Angels where I think it was Jepsen who wild pitched the run in.
  14. C'mon, Rios. No PR'ers for Dunn at 2B. Use Edwin Jackson to PR. C'mon AJ. Just a nice and easy swing with elevation.
  15. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) ok win in their last at bat. It is still a nice little week they are having It would be 10 out of 12, something like 4 or 5 in a row...8-4 in extras.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) GMAFB - he's the best pitcher in the pen. And you blame ozzie for this? This isn't about the homer. That's one issue, getting beat because you don't have confidence in your FB. The issue is that normally, at least in 3 outings, Sergio walks or hits hitters in these situation and gives up a crooked number. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only time he's not been blown out of the game and given up an additional 2-3 runs after he's surrendered the lead or tie.
  17. Ozzie ALWAYS leaves Santos in too long. When will he learn??
  18. Why, why, why? Sergio not confident at all in his fastball tonight. Hanging change-up .... up in the zone. You have to get beat with your FB or slider, not your 3rd pitch. Ozzie, you better be ready to pull him after one more batter.
  19. Looks like Santos will be entering the game now. Not sure why Crain isn't available. Well, let's just cross our fingers Sergio has his control and his offspeed stuff like the Cubs' series.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:08 PM) Can some describe how Pierre just missed a walkoff? I think he tomahawk chopped it down the RF line...had the distance, but foul.
