  1. Just because it was one of those Renaissance Fair tops that was crowding her boobies in and smushing them down, lol. As long as SouthSideDon doesn't add Nancy Faust, I'll be okay. Some of his choices, questionable, but that's the beauty of beauty...totally subjective, in the eye of the beholder, as they say.
  2. Maybe you're right...I went to another website and it's hard to make a definitive adjustment. OTOH, beware the "early" plastic surgery these days. Most of my students (international high school) back in Colombia already had a boob job, nose job (to help with their breathing, lol...that was the reason always given), liposuction, ears pinned back and "shaped," double eyelid, you name it....before they turned 18. In fact, the girl in my avatar today is the perfect example. She went from an A to D or DD, I saw her one year after we were dating and she said it was from eating right, exercise and drinking milk!!!! No girl in history has gone up 2-3 cup sizes after age 20 that I have ever heard of. Not saying this is the case with her, but anything's possible these days.

A new GM will be hired before you get a chance to pick another manager. I almost wish they had the balls to bring back Tony Pena, the only "positive" season they had was in 2003 for the first four months before they faded quickly.
  9. I remember when everyone was feeling a bit guilty talking about Hayden Panetierre 2-3 years ago, while her "minor" status was changing. Not that pretty to me. As far as Don's "Robert DeNiro-esque" ethnic girls, I think Gabrielle Union in the movie "Cradle to the Grave" with Jet Li is super-hot. Can't go wrong with Eva Mendes, either, always been a big fan of hers. As for Asian girls (haven't discussed this one here), I'll go with Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li (if you're going for the 35ish looking "cougar" who's much closer to 50), Tang Wei (just check out the movie Lust/Caution "Xi Jie" by ANG LEE), Lin Chiling from Taiwan, Selena Ren from the Taiwanese girl-group S.H.E., any of the members of GIRLS GENERATION (my personal favorite is Su Young Choi because of her unbelieveable legs), Wonder Girls (fading a bit in my estimation), Jamie Chung (ex Real World, she has been in a few movies now like Dragonball), Shu Qi (she was in the first Transporter movie), Michelle Wie (I know someone will argue this with me, it's like Don's Serena Williams pick), Sora Aoi, Maria Ozawa, to start out with, just off the top of my head... http://www.chinese-tools.com/china/crazy/2...tiful-legs.html These two sisters, if you look past all the make-up covering their faces (seems both had a lot of acne/skin problems when they were younger), are just average in appearance...but those LEGS, wow!

  12. Which is why ARIZ was willing to part with him for Carter, despite his sterling minor league numbers....that and the injury-bug reputation. Well, I'm still not quite ready to go to Fathom's declaration that I'd rather have C. Carter back (instead of Quentin), but the pendulum is definitely swinging. Certainly, we owe the 2008 ALCD at least 20-25% to Quentin's monster year. C. Carter would/could/might be ONE big piece of the puzzle, but unless he's going to put up a 900+ OPS right out of the gate, I wouldn't expect that his presence on the current roster would have made any difference at all, unless he could have played 3B or magically morphed into a LHB who could take plate appearances away from TMK.

Our Royals are a manic depressed bunch of dudes. One year our bullpen is Ok then they blow and our starters are OK. Please put it together one time. The only way I see the Royals winning is by spending more on FA acquisitions. The long-term benefit of this move was zero from the beginning, and the short-term benefit has been ABSOLUTE ZERO from the get-go.

  16. T. Thompson in that game piled up 5 RBI's, now at 16 on the season. My boy Dayan Viciedo (280/OPS aound 800) with his 7th homer, the power numbers are starting to look encouraging...his prospect "luster" is coming back again. RBI'S, Flowers (26), Viciedo 3 (15), Retherford (10).
  17. Because that would be TOO logical. Well, you should write an e-mail to MIKE GELLINGER with the White Sox (Director of Video Scouting) and see if he'll respond to you... Why not? Probably better than trying to send an e-mail or letter to Walker IMO.

I remember once going to a Royals/White Sox game at Kauffman, fairly sweltering heat but not quite oppressive....I was trying to buy her Lemon Chills and just about anything to keep her pacified, and I had to argue vociferously just to get her to stay for 2 innings. (This is when both teams were actually good, maybe mid season 2003). That was the end of her attending White Sox (or Royals) games with me. I must have gone to 10-15 games per season by myself, I couldn't bear arguing about "when are we going home?" everytime.

  21. Morel 1/4 with an RBI, #19. 800 OPS. Nunez really pitched very well, one of his best, if not THE best start with us. And Salvador Sanchez has come back down to earth. Just can't seem to find much to get excited about with this team. Shelby's now down to .244 and fading a bit.

  23. It's all about timing. Before, when he had that "lag" in his swing, he was just a split second early (in 2008) and everything worked perfectly. Now, he's just a fraction of a second late, he's trying to cheat and he's getting himself out on pitchers' pitches, fouling off a lot of balls that he used to square up and bust into the seats. The classic "in between" description really fits with Quentin. Someone else had it right, his natural RCF stroke became the infamous pull-hook OR, most commonly, just getting under pitches and popping up a ton of balls into RF and the right side of the diamond like Thomas and Crede would also do a lot of times. The physical ability is still there I think, its just got into his head...the psychological side of the game, 90% of baseball is half mental or whatever Yogi Berra said. Same thing with Beckham, really. Whatever it is, the timing, the stance, the lack of a level plane in his swing, the approach of trying to jack everything out of the ballpark and not adjust situationally but just be like Juan Uribe or Brian Anderson and do the same thing every single time up....it's frustrating to watch for everyone who saw how good he was in 2008, and how far he's fallen. You can't have a corner outfielder with a 650-700 OPS playing his abysmal level of defense (currently) or DHing, but I guess he fits right in there with TMK as a pair.
