  1. Rojas is the most likely guess until Montgomery is ready in May/June or Baldwin flat out plays him. That also buys MLB time/at-bats for Vargas Sosa and maybe Meidroth at 3B and 2B...so Ramos to the minors, with Montgomery at SS for now at Charlotte.
  2. WestEddy? Tray? Care to rebut that "cruel and heartless" attack?
  3. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/43520552/mlb-2025-los-angeles-dodgers-spending-payroll-baseball-future-roki-sasaki-shohei-ohtani This story details the in-person stops that Toronto SD and LA pulled off to convince Sasaki...Toronto specoalized pitching recommendations to help him recover 1-2 mph on his 2023 FB really stand out here. No mention of the White Sox lol...more praise for Toronto beating out some of the other big favorites. https://sports.yahoo.com/analysis-past-trade-deadline-scrambles-113046937.html
  4. Forgot about Bo...he started out as a CFer before the hip problems. Obviously one of the greatest all-around athletes in modern history, true five tool talent (well not exactly a refined pure hitter ofc).
  5. along with Montgomery and Baldwin. https://www.mlb.com/news/white-sox-have-high-hopes-for-colson-montgomery-in-2025 Why why why sign Rojas...then immediately move him away from the two positions where he's most comfortable? Meidroth already has questions about his 2B defense and then you move to an even more demanding position? https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/293269/ Meidroth did play some SS in the IL last year but far from his ideal position. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/200222/ Rojas last played SS in 2021.
  6. That's ONE way of deflecting blame. Fans quickly forget that Krause was working as a Sox scout in Brazil/South America near the end of his life...
  7. Those idiots at MLBN put Acuna at #7 RFer due to 2022/24. Pretty sure I would bet him #1 again before Profit clearing a 700 ops for the Braces for the second year in a row. He was so bad in 2023 he almost got the Rodon 2021 $3 million contract offer. Great bargain for one season on a team in the process of slashing almost $100 million in payroll.
  8. JR isn't going to come within 10 miles of that place...
  9. Pretty hard to celebrate 2005 without acknowledging AJ's pivotal role. Somehow JR will find a way to pretend only Konerko and maybe Buehrle existed. Kind of like not embracing Dick Allen or Frank Thomas when they played for your team but weren't treated well by the front office, KW in particular with the diminished skills clause BS.
  10. Also...sure, you might have a Top 3-5 farm system, but you don't have Garrett Crochet or a semblance of a bullpen, and you have a rotation filled with 4/5 starters on any legit playoff-contending team. There's not a single position player that a Sox fan could comfortably bet $100 or $1000 that they would put up a 2+ fWAR season in 2025...Steamer be damned. If hard pressed, it would have to be Robert, C.Montgomery or Teel.
  11. Not going to give him that much credit for everything wrong he did last year that then needed a bigger fix...or patting himself one back for Venable coming on board. For example, Jake McCarthy was the #11 RFer in the game with a 3+ fWAR. Both Getz and Barfield missed on that one. Then not trading for Keachsall...for, well, reasons. That's a swing of 6-8 victories right there...now having Vargas/Fletcher instead. And finally not getting one of the Red Sox top 3 prospects...usually stars for volume prospects doesn't work more than 20-25% of the time. One positive is not just dumping Robert on the market...at least yet.
  12. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/43520552/mlb-2025-los-angeles-dodgers-spending-payroll-baseball-future-roki-sasaki-shohei-ohtani Jeff Passan on Sasaki deal, Dodgers’ spending spree that rocked baseball

  14. “Saw a video of Alicia Seidler, the one who offended Sheel Seidler (Peter’s widow) with anti-Indian/“purple people” comments and she’s with a son at a Dodgers game that appeared recently wearing Blue and singing Dodger nonsense. This is bizarro world. Something feels real fishy about whats going on. Not to knock you down with the obvious.” gaslampball.com Conspiracy Theory….O’Malley’s (Dodger family if ever there was one) and remaining Seidler’s colluding to suppress payroll and aid the Dodgers, lol. Who knows…maybe they all want to cash out while the getting is good, and before all those remaining contracts start to look really ugly.
  15. Probably wants out but with a sweetener...lost closer's job last year. Carlos Estevez one of the few other high end relief guys left remaining. Also, Pete Alonso and Max Scherzer looking at Blue Jays...
  16. Never seen such a quiet SoxTalk before a SoxFest in like forever...unless they were going to allow that Chicago radio call-in guy who eviscerated the Sox to have a go at Getz.
  17. Four AL Central players (two Twins) The Top 10 MiLB OFers (ETA) 1. Roman Anthony, Red Sox (2025) 2. Walker Jenkins, Twins (2026) 3. Dylan Crews, Nationals (2025) 4. Max Clark, Tigers (2027) 5. Jasson Domínguez, Yankees (2025) 6. Charlie Condon, Rockies (2026) 7. Chase DeLauter, Guardians (2025) 8. Emmanuel Rodriguez, Twins (2025) 9. Josue De Paula, Dodgers (2026) 10. Lazaro Montes, Mariners (2026) source: mlb.com
  18. Cubs looking to acquire Ryan Pressly...might give Astros the juice to bring back Alex Bregman.
  19. Saw Vladimir Guerrero make that same throw at the SAL All Star game back in the mid 90S. L.Walker Evans Clemente Puig Sosa some of the best throwing arms IMO...and Vladdy's dad.

  21. Padres or Sox will get Kelenic now. Harold will be happy at least. SD should have signed Kepler. 5/$50 or 3/$42.5 million, that's crazy and Preller had a sense he wasn't going to be in their current price range...not unlike when JR told Buehrle to explore Blue Jays' offer.
  22. There's not interest in the Twins and/or former Sox players here? The Padres are dead in the water now.
  23. Trying to spread out the impact on Gameday Revenue without having a legit team to promote...we will see how that turns out. Colson Montgomery Quero and Teel debutss is about all this season will offer.
  24. At any rate, they're currently in cost cutting mode and he is one of many veterans they might be willing to move. Let's face it, Goldschmidt and Arenado were supposed to drive the engine...but the young offensive prospects like Walker didn't make the needed impacts, either. The main difference is past competitiveness history has created a far more forgiving fan base. But even that has its limitations with modern sports fans.
  25. Pham was so bad with StL it was easy to completely forget how he ended up with the Royals ultimately. Both those guys disappointed Cardinals' fans. They would probably trade Fedde right back, but JR can no longer afford to pay his salary...
