  1. I asked him what was up with his arm and his relieving. He said, "Sup bro, well after my first two starts I told the trainers that my elbow had some pain and they freaked out and shut me down for two weeks. Now for the last couple of weeks they have been babyin me back to healthy. Hopefully I'll get to start soon cuz my arms healthy and go to good. Thx alot for the interest and take care"
  2. Does anyone have a link to where I could get a video clip of when Steve Lyons pulled his pants down in the middle of a game after sliding into first base?
  3. I like the Kosuke Fukudome idea, I wouldn't mind him being on our team. But then again it was predicted he'd make 12-15 mil over 3-4 seasons which is a lot.
  4. Does anyone know how good of defense Richar plays for either 2B or SS?
  5. DLS and Carter need ups the most
  6. Since when did Bret Prinz start playing for the Cubs organization? Did I miss something?
  7. I love checking milb.com when Faustino pitches. Almost makes me forget about an atrocious loss to the Royals.
  8. Guys we can't get excited until they beat more than one team. We're setting ourselves up for disappointment when we get excited too early.
  9. I always hear commentators and analysts talking about the amount of wins a pitcher has in relation to how good that pitcher is. I feel like this is true to an extent but is not always accurate. For example, Jon Garland had 8 wins prior to last year's all star break while carrying an atrocious 5.37 ERA. On the other hand Mark Buehrle this year has a mere 4 wins with a 3.39 ERA including two complete games already. Because Mark has half the wins should we rethink whether he pitching better than pre-allstar break Garland '06? Would you guys agree with me that the amount of wins a player has can be deceptive to how good that player is? I feel like this issue is just like MVP voting. If Morneau or Howard was on the Royals they probably wouldn't be voted MVP because they'd be on a losing team. How does that make you less valuable as a player? Just like how are you a better player if your team has a better offense and bullpen that gets you statistical wins more easily than a player who doesn't have that backing? I don't know what my point is, I'm just wondering if anyone agrees with me.
  10. I always figured they were the same, but maybe I'm wrong. Somebody fill me in, are Bristol and Great Falls supposed to be about at the same level or is one regarded as higher talent than the other in which players would be promoted to either Bristol or Great Falls before Kannapolis or Winston Salem?
  11. According to one of the Sox' beat writers, the players who were at the restuarant were AJ (and his wife), JD, Thome, Danks, and Toby Hall. Ed Farmer, Singleton, and Herm Schneider were there too at a different table. I'm guessing they didn't make racist jokes if DJ was sitting there with them.... http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/
  12. Matt German, left handed closer for NIU from Aurora just got signed to the Phillies, he was a 5th year senior so he didn't have to go in the draft.
  13. If we had no other available pitchers with the game on the line, who would you rather come out right now to pitch, McDougal or Aardsma?
  14. Would a Frank Thomas in his prime be on this list for most of you? Oh those were delicious days...
  15. I think its time for a promotion. When do you think he'll get moved up? No hits and only one walk in 7 innings tonight.
  16. Thome left the game early for a pinch hitter the other day too. I'm hoping that just means that they're not overdoing his amount of at bats.
  17. Why was Thome pinch hit for in the 9th with bases loaded? Please tell me he was taking it easy and didn't get hurt more.
  18. I was at the dome tonight, they had him maxed at 92 on the gun in there. All the clueless Twins fans kept wondering who he was.
  19. Lincecum has an illegal delivery that will be called out in the majors, when that happens he'll lose 5 MPH on his fastball.
  20. Yeah, I feel like too many people have lost confidence in Buehrle after just one bad season. Just look at Roger Clemens' career stats. In '93 he finished with an ERA of 4.46, that's more than 2 points in addition to his ERA of the previous year when he put up a 2.41 ERA. Was he a miserable pitcher after that? Well he won 4 Cy Youngs after that, so you figure it out.
