  1. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) Unfortunately, Tennessee will be lucky if Florida doesn't hang 70 on them when they visit the swamp. Kiffin is an idiot. Lance Thompson isn't any better for saying there "ain't no way he's gonna get any more of my recruits" referring to Nick Saban. In one day they go completely idiotic and challenge both Florida and Alabama. Kiffin better come up with some pretty big weapons, cause Meyer and Saban aren't going anywhere. Honestly, I don't care. I love it! It's about damn time someone stood up to those douchebags. The rest of the SEC shouldn't be afraid of the almighty Urban Meyer and Saban is just a prick. That's why you're seeing the losses of his top coaches. No one can stand to work with him. Tennessee's offense will be bad next year, but Florida won't put up more than 30. Our defense is too good and returning almost everyone. But, Florida better live it up while they can b/c in a few years it's game on!
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) No one gives a s*** about women's basketball. But the damn Illinois game on. Haha, I go to Tennessee and I don't even give a s*** about women's basketball. And we're dominant (except for this year).
  3. No harm, no foul... Tennessee had already said we weren't going to report it, but just that it was a sleazy thing to do. I do love Kiffin's confidence though. Even if he was wrong about the rule, he was essentially saying "you did everything you could to keep this kid and we pulled him from you with one weekend visit." Imagine what we'll do now that the staff will have an entire year to build relationships with these kids, their parents/coaches, etc. Top 5 class next year. Book it.
  4. Janzen Jackson, 5-star CB, signed with Tennessee this morning! Getting the former LSU-commit was huge. Furthermore, the defense at UT will continue to not be the problem. The offense might struggle to put up 10 pts/game though, lol...

    Question

Bear from Armageddon? Dude's a beast.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) I love watching Duke get rolled. So do I. God, I really do. Btw, what the heck is up with college basketball this year??? Tonight, for instance, 3 top 25 teams got absolutely destroyed, particularly Wake and Duke.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 10:23 PM) I was thinking before the season that the on island stuff would drag with teh 6 gone, but it easily the best stuff on the show. The off island stuff is ok, but not as interesting as on island. Absolutely. I much prefer the scenes on the island. I think that's why I loved last week's episode so much. In fact, I was a bit let down by tonight, except for knowing Jin is alive, which I've suspected all along. Everything else was predictable, which I don't like as much b/c I like being surprised. e.g. that "holy s***" moment
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 07:30 PM) I wasnt aware of that. Did you hear on the radio about Brown wearing an OSU shirt to school only to pick UGA? What a little f***er, although he's scary good. Oh yeah, I heard about it. I was in my 8am class when I hoped on one of the Tennessee message boards and read about it. Plus, I heard officially about his choice of UGA about an hour before he announced when my buddy (who works in the main offices of the College of Business building) called me and said he had just overheard our Athletic Director talking to the Dean of the Business School about Marlon Brown "screwing us" over. That was what sucked out any hope I still had left that the OSU gear was a ploy. Not trying to act like I have inside sources or anything, but I just thought it was funny that my buddy was just outside the Dean's door and stopped to listen to the conversation b/c he heard Brown mentioned.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 01:46 PM) Thigpen stolen from the Vols and signs with UCLA Not really. Last weekend Lane Kiffin informed Thigpen that he wouldn't fit in on offense for us, which is where the previous staff said he'd play. When told that, Thigpen started looking elsewhere. At least Kiffin was being honest.
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 03:08 PM) Dre Kirkpatrick just had the most overblown hat selection I've seen. I'm sure there are worse, but damn I hate that. He grabbed the Texas hat, then had some duffel bag with a plastic bag that had a box and then another bag where he pulled out the Alabama hat. He grabbed the Texas hat that was sitting in front of him first too. Annoying "This hat doesn't have enough swagger for me..." The whole hat thing has gotten ridiculous with some of these kids. I was laughing at Kirkpatrick. Not with him, at him.
  11. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 02:25 AM) I'll be shocked if Massie ends up anywhere but Alabama. Ole Miss has been quietly optimistic about Massie for awhile now. I didn't think he'd go there, but I'm not surprised. He can go there and take over for Oher immediately. Btw, I love signing day! I know UT missed out on some big time guys we were in the running for, but this day is just awesome regardless. Word on the street is a surprise signee (Janzen Jackson or Bryce Brown) to UT tomorrow, but we'll see... For those that follow recruiting, this is like Christmas. I hate how some people just don't understand that. Oh, and Marlon Brown pisses me the f*** off. He grew up a f'n Tennessee fan! But, I guess the QB issue ended up being tops in his recruitment seeing as Georgia brought in 2 of the top 10 freshman and UT told their 2 QB commits that they wouldn't fit in the pro-style offense, leaving us with none for this class.
  12. QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 11:05 AM) The Zombie part is funny, but if they hack into it changing speed limits and s***...that would be over the line. Exactly... As long as it doesn't start a trend of unsafe changes to these signs, I think it's pretty hilarious. As soon as I watched the video I knew it was a play on the video game Call of Duty b/c my buddies next door play the "Nazi Zombies" level of the game all the time.
  13. I can't believe that actually happened... It would be funny if that sort of thing happened at like 2am when no kids were watching, but during the Super Bowl is just bad.
  14. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) First all-nighter of the semester. And so the vicious cycle starts... Got behind in all of my classes, so now I have to cram and pull an all-nighter for a test tomorrow. I'll be doing the same thing for my test Tuesday as well. F*** school... Got 3 more tests next week, so looks like I'll be hitting the books pretty hard for the next week and a half. Every semester I tell myself I'm not going to get behind and then I do. And I'm off to bed... Wake up in a few hours and start the whole process over again.

  16. Getting a lot better grade on a test than you thought you were going to get
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Feb 1, 2009 -> 10:55 AM) I dont know about you guys, but it seems like every page I am on now, CNN, suntimes, espn, SI, etc, all feature this NASTY AD and I am sick of looking at it! I've noticed the exact same thing. I've seen it on smaller websites and well as big ones like you mentioned. It's definitely overkill.
  18. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 01:49 PM) I would say about 70/30 with UNC/Tennessee right now in my opinion. I'm a little worried about the recruiting staff that Tennessee has put together and his visit this weekend. I'm sure hoping that staff can work their magic this weekend and pull Montgomery... I can't wait until signing day!
  19. If I had posted here last night, the result would have been awesome. Instead, I spent an hour puking in my bathroom that I don't remember. I was ridiculous last night and I didn't even set out to get drunk. I had my first whiskey drink at 11:15 pm, and 4 hours later I was blackout. I felt like death when I woke up at 12:30 today. In fact, I'm pretty sure I was still drunk.
  20. And Tennessee loses again... NIT bound! Most disappointing season in UT basketball history so far... How the hell did we beat Georgetown and Marquette???
  21. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jan 28, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) I'm almost always late. I can never seem to get a routine going to change this. I can't even count the amount of times I was late for the train downtown and had to drive. For work, where timeliness actually matters, I seriously have to get in the mindset of leaving an hour before I actually do. That's definitely me. My friends in high school used to tell me we were meeting at places a good 15 minutes before they really were b/c they knew I'd get there late so if they told me an earlier time, I would get their when they did too. Eventually, I picked up on it and that method of trying to get me places on time stopped working. Honestly, I think timeliness is overrated unless it's something really important, like an appointment or work, where there are consequences for not getting there on time.
  22. Walking to class in the rain. Or worse, having to walk back from class in the rain when you weren't prepared for it... Like today when it was 60 degrees and overcast (aka beautiful for January) at 7:45 this morning on my way to class, and then when I came outside 2 hours later, it was a torrential downpour. I was drenched by the time I got home.
  23. Tajh Boyd to Clemson... Didn't even know they were an option. Thought it was Ohio St or Oregon, but I stopped following his recruitment when Kiffin told him he wouldn't fit in our pro-style offense.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) What sense does that make, anyone in the country would pretty much take Florida over their program. And for logistics, do you mean shipping, as in DH Robinson stuff? I honestly have never heard of that program and I went to a very business program focused school. I'm just saying that Florida is an SEC school, which a lot of people like to rag on b/c they let in guys who might not get into other places, like some Big 10 schools. Wouldn't you rather have easier academic admission standards for your football team so they could do the same thing too? As for logistics, Ohio St has it. I'll assume the program at OSU is probably called Supply Chain Management, though (as mentioned in the post above me). It's really the same thing.
