  1. True The person below me didn't sleep last night
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 30, 2008 -> 04:15 PM) As a general observation so far, I can't believe that so few people have chosen Miracle on 34th Street. Oddly enough, it was my #16...
  3. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 29, 2008 -> 10:47 PM) I always get some amazingly goofy s*** when I put it on shuffle, so this should be good... Waits for comments on my varied taste in music. I feel the same way... I had the 60s, 70s, 80s, country music, and christmas music all represented in my 10 songs. I have such varied tastes in music. I like so much different stuff.
  4. I am really rooting for an Alabama-Oklahoma national championship. I absolutely hate Florida, so Roll Tide next week! Unfortunately, I think Florida will be in the NC along with whoever wins the B12 (as long as its not Missouri).
  5. Illinois is impressing me this year. The game today looks like it was miserable, but they still found a way to win. I'm not sure last year's team could have done that. They probably would have been 4-2 or 5-1 right now. The Clemson game will be big for this team... Btw, Mike Davis and Mike Tisdale are gonna be a force in 2 years.
  6. True The person below me will be traveling home tomorrow after Thanksgiving break

  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 29, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) drop rapes? I've never heard that expression either.
  9. Tennessee with a huge win tonight to help Phillip Fulmer go out on a high note. Very very emotional after the game. Phil handled it with class and you could tell he was really choked up coaching his last game for the Vols... The players carried him off the field too. Very deserving moment for a great coach.
  10. Shoes are fine. I would never ask someone to take off their shoes... But when I go to someone's house, I sometimes ask if they want me to take off my shoes.

QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 28, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) I ordered when I was leaving work and Ricobenes beat me home one time and it is longer from there to my house than it is from my work to my house. Haha, that's impressive... I don't even know how they did that.
  12. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 28, 2008 -> 08:37 PM) I bought a 32 inch LCD HD TV for my bedroom today. There were really some great deals on TVs this Black Friday, especially 32-inch ones from what I noticed. I was really tempted to buy one myself, but being a poor college kid with rent to pay, I decided my current good 'ol 20-inch TV will do just fine for awhile.
  13. True The person below me has been to an SEC football game.
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3731656 Looks official... Lane Kiffin will be the next Head Coach at Tennessee. I see this as a boom or bust type of hire. We know he's gonna bring in Top 10 recruiting classes while he's here, but how well can he run a team? If he can prove to be a solid head coach, this team is gonna be back up there with the Florida's and Alabama's.
  15. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 27, 2008 -> 04:23 AM) False. The person below me wishes he was still dating one of his ex gfs. False The person below me went to a different college than the one they grew up rooting for...
  16. That's just ridiculous. How can you accuse a guy of being racist if the entire team is made up of African-Americans? I don't understand what's going on in those peoples' heads. Just b/c you (or your kid) weren't good enough to make the team, you can't just start making baseless accusations. Racism when all of his players are black??? Give me a break...
  17. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) Tennessee set to hire Kiffin? That would be interesting. Our AD is denying it, but I'm pretty damn sure Kiffin has been offered the job. I'm think they're just waiting until after the season (especially with Philip Fulmer appreciation day being this Saturday against Kentucky) to announce it, and technically, Kiffin has to accept the job. Though, that's said to be a given. He is reportedly trying to fill a coaching staff, so when he's announced as the coach, they'll already be able to announce some of the new coaches as well. Ed Orgeron could possibly be his D-Coordinator and recruiting coordinator. While he would be phenomenal as a recruiter, I'm not sure about him being a Defensive Coordinator, but oh well... we'll see. If he would take a job as the D-Line coach and Recruiting Coordinator, that would be fantastic b/c he's a very good position coach. I just don't know if he can run an entire defense. David Reaves (Kiffin's brother-in-law) is also rumored to be a candidate as offensive coordinator (even though Kiffin would call the plays still). Reaves is currently the Recruiting Coordinator and QB Coach at South Carolina. If Kiffin (a great recruiter himself) brings in those guys as coaches, it looks like Tennessee could have the beginnings of one of the best recruiting staffs in the country. However, the big question is can they coach? Recruiting only brings you so far... Btw, Ken Norton Jr (the current LB coach at USC) is also rumored to be a candidate as the defensive coordinator at UT. But, this is obviously just speculation at this point. Just thought I'd throw out some of the possibilities...
  18. I'll have to go with brunettes. For me, a really hot brunette tops a really hot blonde... And all the girls I tend to be most attracted to are brunettes.

When I tip, it's almost always 20% (unless the service is amazing/horrendous). But here's a question: Do you tip the pre-tax amount or the amount after tax? I've been told you shouldn't include tax in the tip, and if that's true, then tips should be less. But, I feel like a cheap bastard for doing that, so I always tip based on the post-tax total.
  20. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) You guys hired Brian Kelly yet? I wish we would... I've become a firm believer in Brian Kelly after reading a lot about him recently. None of the other realistic candidates do much for me, but I'd be fine with Lane Kiffin if he got hired. Kelly is just a winner. Not sure how he would be on the national recruiting scene, but hiring the right assistants can help a lot with that. He can straight up coach with the best of them, though.
  21. Florida is the best team in college football right now. Hands down. As much as I hate saying it b/c I hate Florida more than any other team in any sport, it's true. They are peaking at the right time. Sure, they could lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship game, just as any team can lose any given saturday. But, Florida is ridiculous right now.
  22. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) Congrats Myron Rolle I absolutely love this guy. I'm not a FSU fan or anything, but since I first read about his Rhodes Scholar situation awhile back, I was hoping he'd get it. I didn't realize that he would find out today until I was watching the FSU/Maryland pre-game and they were talking about how he just found out he was awarded the scholarship. What a phenomenal story...
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 11:36 PM) The freshman class in college basketball absolutely sucks. Guys like Derozan and Hopson are mediocre so far. Speaking of recruits, I bought Gunnin' For That #1 Spot today. I can't wait to watch it. I'll say this about Hopson... His overall numbers have been mediocre so far, but he has just dominated games at times. In the MTSU game last night, he scored 8 straight points in a 68-second span. Unfortunately, the other 17 minutes he played, he had 2 points. Once he starts playing a little more consistently, he'll be a force.
  24. Makes me feel better b/c my phone has been doing the same thing. I received a couple texts long after the sender sent them and couldn't send out texts earlier.
  25. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) The funny thing is there just so happened to be an off duty police officer that seen it happen and he came to make sure I was ok than he went looking for the guy. That's always helpful... I got in a wreck where a car hit me and drove off outside of a Starbucks. Lucky for me a district attorney saw the whole thing from inside the Starbucks and called the cops and was a huge help to me - it was 4 days after getting my license, so it's safe to say I was a bit shaken up.
