QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) I've had an ongoing dialogue with a Tribe fan who lives in Winston-Salem and goes to the Warthog games. He had this interesting and funny comment about CJ in one of our conversations... "They love him here in Winston, if crowd applause is any measure. He's also quite often the 'Biscuitville RBI Guy' so the fans who yearn for coupons to a "down-home country" fast food chain are especially pumped when he bats." Claim to fame... being the Biscuitville RBI guy... gotta love minor league baseball. My friends from Winston-Salem absolutely love Biscuitville. They swear by it's awesomeness, so I can understand people would love him if he's the "Biscuitville guy" haha

I'm taking a 3-team parlay this week: Auburn +3 (vs West Virginia) Georgia +2 (vs LSU) South Florida -4 (vs Louisville) Also, the over/under for Auburn/WV is 39. I'm taking the over... Any advice? -
Great job. He is definitely one player I'm excited about for next year. Probably more because of his un-drafted status than anything, but I just love seeing this guy play well. Gotta root for him...

Here in Knoxville gas prices are around $3.60/gallon. It's pretty high compared to the rest of the state. Memphis gas is about $0.20 cheaper.

I've never really had an opportunity to drink before class, except for one time. I had a night class last semester and we had a big party that same night, so I had a couple beers before I went to pregame. Nothing too major at all. I really would like one time to go to a class hammered, but it would have to be the right one. Like, a small class with a teacher that didn't give a s*** because then you could do whatever, and everyone would be entertained. But, if it was a 300 person lecture and I was sitting around no one I knew, I don't think it would seem as fun...

I sing in the shower all the time. It's usually whatever country song I'm liking the most at the time...

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 01:01 PM) This scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCildVCn2No Just got a little teary-eyed watching that... Btw, what a great movie Little Giants is. I haven't seen it in forever, but used to watch it all the time as a kid.

I know it was only Mississippi St., but finally, Tennessee actually played a good game for once. The defense was phenomenal, and Eric Berry is the truth... It was nice blowing someone out for the first time all year -
I get just the letter "E" sometimes b/c my name is Evan. Lot of people just call me by my last name...

Cheat did a very fine job with that analysis... Thanks for the post

wow, can't believe it's already college basketball season... I need something to look forward to with how bad football has been for us at UT. -

Anyone else think Juice is trying too hard to prove he's a "passer," and therefore missing opportunities to run b/c of that? I really like he could have run for a TD in the 1st half but held too long and got sacked, which led to a FG. He just doesn't seem to have a good sense of timing in the pocket... -
QUOTE (Cali @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 09:47 AM) "Say Hi to your motha for me, okay?" that was my favorite part I love the Whalberg impression. It's something I've never noticed, but that is exactly how he talks.

Speed limiting for a kid? Yes. Radio volume being limited? Nope.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 12:02 PM) If I had known that you were coming sooner, I could have found you a room at my hotel. Where did you stay? Well thanks, but it's all good. I actually stayed on campus with a guy I went to high school with, so it was cool living the life of a notre dame student for a couple days. -

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) I'm back from the ND game. Did you have fun? Just got back to Knoxville and I must say I had a great time at the game. It's definitely a different atmosphere than game day at Tennessee, but though different, it was just as fun. The game itself was good to watch with that mini-comeback by Stanford, and there's really not a bad seat in the stadium. It seemed smaller than a 80,000 person stadium... And the game made me wish Jimmy Clausen had followed his brothers to UT so we'd actually have a legit QB, lol... Also went to the pep rally on Friday, which was unique b/c we don't do anything like that at Tennessee. It was pretty cool as well. I was up there for my friend's 21st birthday and, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the campus as a whole and my first game lived up to expectations. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 04:07 PM) No Soxtalk and surprisingly no SoxNet (Soxtalk's predecessor which opened during 2001). I actually searched for SoxNet too b/c I couldn't exactly remember when it opened, but I guess it hadn't yet at that point.

This has nothing to do with either candidate, but I finally registered to vote today. I've been putting it off for no reason, and today just decided to go get a form and fill the darn thing out. It feels good to have finally done it.
