I think we can all agree we're happy the Sox didn't take Castro...

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) barf. if this guy can't play major league SS, it's a waste of a pick. Well, I wouldn't say so. If he were to become a very good 2B, I don't think you could call that a waste. Yeah, SS is the sexy, premier position, but very good offensive 2B aren't easy to come by. You think Chase Utley was a waste of a pick b/c he ended up at 2nd?

Beckham... No surprise there
-
Forgot about Beckham still being around... I have a feeling we will draft him, and though I'd prefer Smoak, I guess I'll be happy either way.
-
Sweet... We're on the clock and Smoak is available.
-
Damn, why did I get my hopes up for Posey? Should have known that wasn't gonna happen. It only leaves me more disappointed now.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) On ESPN 1000 they just had Bruce Levine report that the Sox will take Posey if available. That would be badass. I hope he falls.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) I want to punch Selig in the face. Yeah, he's terrible. Definitely not smooth in his delivery.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) then what will KC do at 3? Yep, that is really where we'll begin to see how it's going to unfold for us. Let's hope for the best
-
It's about damn time the Rays are on the clock... I'm excited to see how this all unfolds. Let's hope we don't get screwed over in the one draft we actually have a Top 10 pick in.
-
Oh wow, that's really weird. I didn't see the Gorilla at all the 1st time.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 02:32 PM) Well im not sure if im trying to walk on at Illinois, I have no idea how hard it is to walk on. My coach has said I have DI talent, and I led my team offensively this year, and hit over .450 in a pretty good conference. But its Michigan baseball so I know the high school talent level isnt that good, so I have no idea what to expect. Im moving this summer to the Chicago area, no idea where yet, and with going to college Im not sure what teams will be available to me. Well, if you do try to walk-on, good luck! I have a few friends who are walk-on D1 athletes and while it may not be glamorous, they all are really happy with their decisions.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) Unfortunately, he's not old enough. Even worse, he would have to stop playing for the Sox (or not, actually that'd be pretty awesome wouldn't it?) Good idea though. And if some jackasses ran on the field like a few years ago, they'd get probably get shot rather than tackled, lol, to keep President Quentin safe...

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) I dont see universal health care... as bad things to motivate people to do. I do. Universal health care would only be okay in the smallest sense. Unfortunately, it would end up getting abused just like welfare, for example. If you are any sort of middle class American or better, you need to pay for private health care.

Just watched American Gangster. I know I'm probably one of the last people to see that movie, but it definitely lived up to my expectations. Once again, Denzel was awesome in his role.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 06:23 PM) I could see Cincinnati going with Casey Kelly. I hope he doesn't go that early. I want him to come to UT to play QB, and he'd be fun as hell to watch on the baseball diamond. The UT baseball team is needing some talent. Oh, and if we draft Cashner, that would be a terrible pick. We already have Closers tearing it up at, like, every minor league level anyway. You don't draft a Closer with a Top 10 pick. I would be so happy if we got either Smoak or Posey/Skipworth.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) The upside to possibly keeping Wade out for another season is that the Bulls add yet another lottery pick (most likely) and then are monstrously stacked when Wade returns in 2009-2010. Maybe we get lucky and land a Brandon Jennings? Jennings Wade Deng Beasley Noah Damn, that team would be sick...

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 01:30 PM) One time I saw Contreras walking out of an AARP office...and that was like 6 years ago. Nicely done... Kobe Bryant was a few pews back from me at church when the Lakers were in town playing the Grizzlies a few years ago. Met Bart Starr and Jim Taylor (would have been cooler if I didn't hate the Packers, lol) at a Golf outing at the country club I work at. Taylor let me put on his Super Bowl I ring. Woody Paige stopped by my fraternity house last year before the UT-Florida game b/c Paige was in my fraternity.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 05:04 PM) Keith Law now has the Sox thinking Jason Castro as SF is supposedly on G. Beckham right now. From what I've read, that would be severely over-drafting him.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 31, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) Rocky 4 is still one of my favorite movies. No shame in that. That movie is awesome, especially the montage when Rocky is training in the snow/outdoors, and Drago is in the machine-laden, steriod-laden lab... Shows how much more of a badass Rocky is. But yeah, every time I watch that movie it makes me want to go workout or do some sort of physical activity.

Wow, TV Comedy winning in a landslide. I'm glad b/c Hottest Chick has been done a few times before, and while a great category, I'm glad we picked something fresh.

Alright, Jose, kick some ass tonight!

Anyone think the Polar Bears were used to "move" the island, which is why they found polar bear remains in Tunisia, the same place (I assume) Ben ends up after he "moves" the island?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 30, 2008 -> 01:10 PM) eeek... but not with her: That's a girl?

Wow, what a great finale! So many answers, yet so many questions...
