  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 17, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) "Who all see the leprechaun say 'Yeah'!" Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!! What an awesome video...
  2. In... A final 4 of Tenn, Wisconsin, Stanford, and UCLA when it was all said and done. Guess who's winning it all?
  3. 33%, huh? Makes me proud to be a Vol... lol Seriously, though, we've been through 2 different coaches since that study was done, and I'd have to imagine our graduation rate is higher than it was 10 years ago. Not great, but at least above 50%.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 17, 2008 -> 09:22 AM) You're awesome. Tennessee still sucks though. Haha, thanks... I'm just gonna ignore the latter comment
  5. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Mar 17, 2008 -> 03:30 AM) The Late Night Club still alive and well.. Oh yeah... Hell, it's 10:22 in the morning and I still haven't gone to bed yet. Think I'll just stay up all day at this point.
  6. So when I woke up this morning, I knew I had posted on here last night even though I was hammered. I couldn't remember what thread I posted in, so I opened up a bunch of threads until I saw the post, and it was completely coherent. Kinda surprised considering the fact I couldn't even remember what I posted...
  7. Well, I've been DJing for my on-campus modern rock radio station this semester, so the last few months I've heard a lot of music that I hadn't heard before b/c I'm not normally a big "modern rock" guy. One artist that I'm beginning to like in particular is Virginia Coalition. I really like their song "Sing Along" and just heard "Home This Year" for the 1st time today, but I like it too. Anyway, check them out. They're pretty darn good. Some other songs I really like that I've heard on my radio station that I had never heard before: Car Crash - Matt Nathanson Mr. Pitiful - Matt Costa Nighttiming - Coconut Records Riot Radio - The Dead 60s 27 Jennifers - Mike Doughty All In My Head - Shawn Mullins Wait For The Summer - Yeasayer

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 10:41 PM) Speaking of which, even though I was told I don't have to anymore, I wear my retainers Sun-Thurs nite. Put FAR too much money into my teeth to let them get slightly out of place while I'm still growing. Yeah, I still wear my retainers almost every night and I've had my braces off for 3 years. I'm the only person I know that stills wears them after having them off for that amount of time, but I feel the same way as you Alex. I went through the whole process of wearing braces and I don't want that to be for nothing. Oh, and Mark, I would get braces if it was me. If the gap does bother you, then a year or maybe 2 of wearing braces will make you happier and fix your teeth for the rest of your life. I think it's worth it.
  9. It's pretty rare to see 3 #1 seeds make the Final 4, so keep that in mind... I'm gonna go with a Final 4 that you won't see anywhere else: Tennessee Stanford Wisconsin UCLA Tennessee to win it all!
  10. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) Why would Illinois turn down this? Is more games!! Yeah, I don't see the downside to playing in the CBI. Like you said, more practice/games to help build toward next year. Plus, even if it is a bunch of (sub-).500 teams, you still get the tournament-like experience, playing multiple games in a few days. I mean, a tournament with Illinois, Virginia, GT, and other programs like that would be a really good experience for the players. Those aren't bad teams necessarily.
  11. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 04:11 PM) Get maybe the #1 2 seed in the tourney in the top bracket, There's no "maybe" about it... You did.
  12. This is so bulls***. How is Tennessee not a #1 seed? And if they are a #2 (which they're f***ing not), why the f*** are they in the same region as North Carolina? Let me give you some facts here and you tell me how b****-ass Kansas got a #1 over Tennessee: The Jayhawks' best win away from Phog Allen Fieldhouse was a four-point win at (#6 seed) Southern California in December. They have a 2-2 record against ranked teams after beating Texas, who beat them in the regular season, today. The Jayhawks, now 30-3, are 4-2 against teams we project into the field of 65 (5-2 if Arizona makes it). They're also 8th in the RPI and 82nd in SOS. Now, let's look at Tenn... The Vols have held the #1 spot in both the RPI and SOS for weeks now. They are 29-4 overall, 6-2 against ranked teams, and no team has as good of wins away from home as Tennessee does: They beat West Virginia and Gonzaga on a neutral courts (though the Ganzaga game was in Seattle), and they beat Memphis in Memphis and Xavier in Cincy. Lastly, they are an impressive 11-4 against the projected tournament field if Western Kentucky and Ohio State make it as at-large teams. f*** this s***...
  13. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) I don't see how the Illini got the ball with no foul being called, it just doesn't make sense. Isn't it called an official's timeout? That's normally what happens when there's an injury on the floor.
  14. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 01:10 PM) I have to laugh at that dumbass on Kentucky who got the T when going up and blocking a free throw. That was hilarious. Yeah, I know. What an idiot. I understand they were trying to get a lane violation, but you have to be aware of the situation and know you can't block a shot like that.

    LOST!!!!

I really hope Jin is still on the island. He's one of my favorite characters even though he's one of the smaller roles. Jin is the biggest badass on the whole island. He could kick some serious ass if he wanted to. They can't kill him off.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 11:27 AM) I'm not even sure what just happened...
  17. I've heard that this is fake. I really hope it is b/c if it's not, that's really sick.

    Memphis

I plan on being there as long I don't have work or anything that weekend. Should be a great time watching my team at "my" ballpark.
  19. QUOTE(BurlyMan56 @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) I can't play world of warcraft and watch white sox baseball but I can drink and watch it so therefore, Drinking>Gaming That might be the best explanation I've read so far on why drinking is great.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:42 AM) Really wish I didn't have to miss the Tenn-Memphis game, sounded like a fun one. Congrats to Tenn, I know Evan will hate this but I still think Memphis is the better team. Oh really??? Haha, no it's all good. I respect your opinion, even if it's wrong,
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) Per Bob Sakamoto's blog at chicago sports, Jereme Richmond has been kicked off the Waukegan team. It is widely recognized he'll be at Evanston next year, but what a douche. It takes a hell of an effort of being a bad person to be kicked off a team. I'm starting to think Richmond is going to be more of a hindrance for Illinois than anything. I guess I shouldn't say much b/c I don't know the kid or his situation, but it doesn't seem good regarding all I've read about his attitude this year. Let's hope he goes to a new school next year and nothing more comes of this.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 12:54 AM) I know why and was not inferring that anything was wrong with it. But it is unusual for a team to get such a great player without waiting. He has been a huge boost to this Tennessee team. They have other talent, but they wouldn't be in the position they are in without him. Oh wow, completely mis-read your first post. I'm an idiot... Yes, it is helping them tremendously. I mean, they'd still be a very good team (i.e. last year's team was really good and all they lost was Dane Bradshaw). But, you're right, Smith has taken them to a new level.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) Btw, how much is Tyler Smith not having to sit out under the normal transfer rules helping this Tennessee team?? The NCAA allowed him to play this year b/c he only transfered to be closer to his father who was sick with cancer (and has now passed away).
  24. Oh, how awesome was that game!? Tennessee played like s*** and Lofton only had 7 points, and we still beat the #1 ranked team in the country. I guaranteed victory for TENN on this board months ago. I just wished you all that picked Memphis to win would have listened to me Go Vols!!!
