QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 27, 2007 -> 06:17 PM) that stuff is like candy. Yeah, no kidding. The last time I blacked out included taking many shots of jaeger. It just goes down so easily, it's hard to stop... But I must say that I've never actually bought a bottle myself. I've only drank it at bars or when someone else has it.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Nov 26, 2007 -> 11:57 PM) Call me crazy, I might be the only person in the world that actually LIKES tequila. You're not alone. That's how I feel. I bought a bottle of Patron one time and everyone thought I was crazy when I said I liked to drink it on the rocks.

I didn't see any state troopers during my 6 hour drive from Memphis to Knoxville. Seems kinda rare, especially for the Sunday after a major holiday.

Before voting, I knew that "A Christmas Story" would have the most votes. I don't get the infatuation with that movie. I like it, but it always seems to be everyone's favorite. As for my favorites: Home Alone, Elf, It's a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Christmas Vacation. I can't really say which I like better b/c I always make it a point to watch all of those for Xmas.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Nov 26, 2007 -> 04:13 AM) Yeah, Illinois fans should be LSU fans for the same reason. Probably Va Tech fans as well. This is one Illinois fan that will most certainly not be rooting for LSU. If both my teams make it to BCS bowls, I'm not sure what I'll do, but it's gonna be a fun early January! Go Vols!!! -
QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Nov 25, 2007 -> 01:44 PM) I just found Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix at my grocery store. I highly reccommend it. I love Bloody Mary's. They can really hit the spot early in the day.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 25, 2007 -> 12:05 PM) Orange Hurricane Yep, that's my favorite flavor. So good... As for mixed drinks, I regularly drink: whiskey & water (cheaper and keeps you hydrated, lol), whiskey & coke, and a Tom Collins whenever I have the ingredients, like I do at the moment. Preferred choice of beer: Miller Light and the High Life...

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 24, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) Hasnt he been a little bit injury prone? Not really. He has started 24 of the last 25 games Tennessee has had, only missing the LSU game his junior year. As a UT student/fan, I would not want the Bears to take him any earlier than the 4th round. He's a lot like Grossman in that he doesn't handle being pressured well. When he doesn't have time to throw, he tends to panic and not keep his eyes downfield, like all good QB's do. Unfortunately, that's not the kind of thing that can easily be taught, if at all. He's about perfect when he has time to throw, but the Bears already have a guy like that. One good thing he does do is limit the sacks he takes, as he has only been sacked 3 times this entire year, though UT's O-Line should get a lot of credit for that too. Another thing is that he is great at leading the receiver/throwing the ball before the WR has broken into his route, so that as soon as the WR turns his head, the ball is right there. That's one thing that has to be done in the pro's b/c of the speed of the DBs and their ability to break on the ball. His TD/INT ratio is solid at 27/8, and the KY game was the first in which he had more than one INT. Of course, two of his INTs in the KY game were the receivers fault. One was b/c of a WR bobbling the ball, and the other was b/c a WR got lazy and didn't make a sharp cut (kind of rounded it off), which allowed the DB to jump the ball. Oh, and as for that game. Wow, just wow. I was freaking out so much the last few minutes with UT's dropped passes/dropped INTs. The defense really stepped up at the end of the game. But, I'm going to Atlanta next week! Go Vols!!! -
Well, I just participated in my first Black Friday shopping ever, and it was awful and fun at the same time. Got to Circuit City at 3:30 (which i learned was definitely not soon enough) to get a laptop for my mom, but they were out by the time I got to the laptops. So, I picked up 9 DVDs/TV Box Sets, so I did get something accomplished. The part that sucked was freezing outside for an hour and a half, and waiting in line to checkout for, no joke, another hour and a half. I got in line to check out at 6:01 and finally left the store at 7:28. Made me never want to do this Black Friday crap again, unless it's for a really good deal on something. All-in-all it was definitely a memorable experience.

Indiana, Illinois? Who cares? Tennessee would stomp either of them... hahaha Seriously, though, I do think that Illinois will do a lot better than most people are thinking. -

Yes, in 48 minutes, you could definitely score at least 1 point. -
QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 11:54 AM) History of Rock Oh man, Tennessee used to have the best History of Rock class ever until the university decided they wanted to more standardize the class. They wouldn't let one of the 2 professors teach how he wanted to (and how he had always taught it), so he doesn't teach it anymore. It used to be ranked by Playboy and some other subscriptions as one of the best college classes in the country. Now, not so much... I really hate the administration here at UT.

Oh man, that's sad. That's who I dressed up as for Halloween last year. Though, it was more the Will Farrell version, lol.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) So everyone loves Matt Ryan, but does he get forgiven for still having 2 picks and a completion percentage below 50%? Overall a poor game, but everyone is raving about him. He was great at the end, but the 3 and 1/2 quarters of suckage needs to be mentioned. I think it's more about the fact that he was able to show that he can overcome having a bad game and still lead his team to victory. It was a very clutch performance by Ryan. He didn't let the previous INT's bother him that last drive. He put the team on his shoulders and won the game. That last TD pass was awesome: scrambling around and then throwing on the run across his body to the opposite corner of the endzone. He showed off some serious resolve on that last series. He wasn't going to give up until that clock hit 0:00. Yeah, he had a bad 42 minutes, but that last 6 showed me a lot about his make-up/character. He's not the kind of player that is going to fold under pressure. As for his interceptions, they really don't bother me if he is always going to give his team a chance to win. i.e. Brett Favre... -
I've never shotgunned a beer.

I'm rooting for the Rockies mainly because I hate the obnoxiousness of Red Sox fans. It really doesn't help that one of the guys I live with is from Boston, and I'll have to deal with all his bulls*** for the entire year with the Red Sox, Pats, and Celtics (okay, maybe not) all having a legit chance at winning championships.

I liked the trade when it was made and I still do. BMac has now played in over 2 big league seasons. At the same point in their careers, Danks will have a better ERA and overall numbers than McCarthy.

I was hoping for a Flash commit to Illinois, but it looked like it would be Ohio St. so I'm not surprised. Also, Tennessee got a big commitment from 4-star SF Renaldo Woolridge today. Picked UT over offers from Georgetown, USC, etc.
