QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) Same here. I'm done w/ the grocery biz. I'm working at a golf course this summer. Wage is better, I get tips, working with some good friends, AND I get some free golf. It's going to be a good summer. That'll be sweet. I tried getting a job at a golf course last summer, but it didn't work out. My brother and some of his friends used to work at a golf course during the summers, and they got paid well. I think u'll have a good time working there.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) Who the hell shifted the conversation back on topic? I don't know. Anyway, back to off-topic: I did work at a grocery store as a bagger last summer. It wasn't so bad, but I definitely didn't look forward to going to work for that 7-8 hours a day. Although, they usually had me work nights. That was both good and bad. I couldn't go out as much, but I am not a morning person, so it was pretty sweet not really ever having to wake up early. I normally started work anywhere from 1:00 to 4:00 and finished from 8:00 to 12:00. Luckily, this summer I've got a much better, yet more physically demanding job lined up. I'm gonna work putting in basketball floors for this guy that owns his own flooring co. It'll be pretty tough at first, I'm sure, but I'll get used to it, and it pays about twice as much as bagging groceries, so I'm pretty excited about it. Plus, I'm gonna be working w/ my best friend, so that'll help work go by a lot faster.

It's gotta be Williams or Head. Either one is more than deserving. Frye had one hell of a game, but I don't think I could give the MVP to a player on the losing team.

Tonight, I ate some soup and a salad.

There were a lot of things that bothered me this game, but 2 that stuck out the most were: 1) That fast break that Dee should have stopped and set up the offense, but kept driving and threw up that piece of s*** shot and OSU went back down and scored 2) Deron had 2 pts. the entire game 3) What was Powell doing fading away on the last shot? I don't mind him taking that shot, but he had time to catch and shoot... he didn't have to fade away on that- 2.2 seconds is plenty of time. Also, that OSU guy was jumping out at him, so if he had jumped straight up or into the shot, that player might have hit Powell and then we'd have 3 foul shots to try to tie or win the game. If we're not #1 tomorrow, I'll be pissed. Even if N.C. beats Duke, I see no reason why they should jump us to the #1 spot. We still have only 1 loss to their 3. And, one of their losses was to a W.F. team that we destroyed.

Hey, everyone! Haven't posted in quite some time. It's good to see the minor league board getting busier. Anyway, back to my sleeper pick- I'll go with someone I haven't heard talked about at all: Daniel Haigwood. I also think Ray Liotta will break out this year.

About Ole Miss new football coach
dasox24 replied to Palehosefan's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I love the Orgeron hire for Ole Miss. My brother and sister went there, and I might too, so I'm happy that it looks like they're turning things around. He's already got some darn good recruits for not being there very long. I.e. Michael Oher Btw, Saturday's in Oxford, Ms. are so badass. There's nothing like Grovin' on gameday. A lot of people never even make it in the game b/c they have so much fun in the Grove. It's funny b/c everyone dresses up so nice. All the fans, including students, wear a polo or dress shirt with khakis or dress pants to the games. It sounds weird for a football game these days, but the atmosphere is really a lot of fun. -
I had to read 3 books for eng. lit. before my soph. year and before this year, but that's the only summer hw i've ever had. I'm taking AP English next year, so I'm sure I'll have at least 3 or 4 books to read, but you won't hear me complaining. It's just something that comes along with taking AP or honors classes. Although I do agree that it would be hard to do math over the summer if you had no one to teach you how to do it.

Winter here has been pretty weird. We had the first "white" christmas here in like 25 years, and today it was like 60 degrees outside. The temp. change is unbelievable. It'll suck, though, once it gets cold for good b/c I hate lacrosse practice in the cold.

QUOTE(Chisoxmatt @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 05:10 AM) Im trying to sneeze with my eyes open. I havent succeeded yet. I heard your eyeballs will pop out if you do that...lol

Agreed. And, if we do go WR, I hope it's Williams. Also, I'm not sure how much money we have under the cap this year, but Walter Jones sure would look nice in a Bears Uni. Can anyone tell me what our cap situation looks like this offseason? Thanks

Ah, skiing... I got back on Sunday from Colorado, and it was great as always. I went to Winter Park with a lot of my friends (parents too, of course lol), and we had a blast. I'm planning on going back again next Christmas break, and I can't wait. Have fun!

I think this was a good move. However, I don't like how the offense has to learn a new offense again this offseason. Hopefully we'll hire a guy that does a good job, and we'll have some stability for a while from the O-coordinator position.

Happy Bday! Hope it's a good one!

Here's something on Wasserman from part of an article I wrote:

You are correct, it is sports related. Btw, anyone wanna join the 2,581 posts club?

Oh man, Game Gear f***in rocked. I have mine still, but haven't played it in like 5 years. I should really pull it out on a car trip sometime.

Yes, he did! He was playing great. Gasol would score, and then Curry would come right back down and score himself. Curry really took charge during that time. I just got back from the game like 30 minutes ago, and I must say I was very impressed. Memphis was a 50+ win team last year, and didn't lose anyone from last year's team (they even added Cardinal) and we played great against them. Granted, they are stuggling a little so far this year. Although, that's mainly due to the fact that they've had injuries to key players like JWill, Posey, and Battier, and have had a coaching change. They've still got some really good players that can take over a game at any time, and we shut them all down pretty well, except for Gasol, who played great offensively, but is a liability on defense. I was at the game with some of my friends, who are Griz fans, and they were really impressed by Curry, Gordon, and especially Hinrich, who they all think is a badass now. Anyway, I finally got to see my Bulls win a game in person, and it was great! Let's hope they keep up the good work and continue to play as they have. Another thing to mention is that the D was good again, holding the Griz to below 90 points.

Great trade for L.A.

I'm asking for an mp3 player for christmas, but I need help in choosing which one to ask for. The iPod is an obvious choice, but does anything else out there compare to it? The Dell DJ looks pretty good, but I just don't know. If anyone own's a Dell DJ or iPod, can you tell me what you think of it? Thanks.

This was a huge surprise down here. Everyone's still kind of in shock that Hubie's gone. Word here is that Fratello will get the job, although Phil Jackson coming in was a rumor too.

I don't like Bounds being released, although he was a little old for the level he was playing at.
