  1. Man, LA ans STL have got to be the favorite to win the NL as of now. LA has really improved their team, even after losing LoDuca and Mota.

    MusicCenter?

I would hate to have to work with her and hear that voice all day long...
  3. Interesting read...
  4. Didn't she even win that slam dunk contest?
  5. I love it, but Goldmember already knows that. I'm just replying here that I love it 'cause I don't want anyone to think that I didn't even reply and be like, "What an ungrateful bastard! Goldmember makes him a sig and he doesn't even say anything about it." lol
  6. I introduced myself to Johnny "Red" Kerr after a Bulls game here in Memphis. It's cool as hell when my dad gets tickets through work 'cause they're pretty good seats, but what makes it great is that around the 4th quarter when you know people aren't sitting in certain seats close to the court, you can sneakily move down and get about 2 rows from the court. I've done it 3 times, and man is it awesome to be almost courtside. Anway, after the game, I just went up and introduced myself to Kerr, but he was very non-talkative and just shook my hand and turned away without saying a damn thing. I asked how he was doing and he just nodded (whatever the hell that meant), so I kinda lost respect for that man after he did that to me. I was only 14 at the time. That's not cool to do to a 14-year-old, especially in front of friends 'cause they gave me s*** for what happened. Oh, and some of you in Chicago who follow high school basketball might now my uncle, Steve Goers, who is the head basketball coach at Rockford Boylan. Wow, I know jack s*** for famous people. That's sad the the most famous person I know is one of my uncles.
  7. reliever for sure and possibly a starter and leadoff hitter...
  8. Yes. If they aren't affiliated with a team, then they can't play in the league that that team is in. For example, the Astros used to not have a High-A team, IIRC, so their minor leaguers had to make the jump from low-A to AA, which is extremely tough. The jump from High-A to AA is considered by many to be the hardest jump for a minor leaguer to make, so from Low-A to AA is just that much harder.

    Soxtalk Book Club

Death in Summer and The Mayor of Casterbridge are what I've read so far for my summer reading books for school. I've got one more to go...
  10. I must say that that's pretty good being the 5th fastest person to get the story out.
  11. Yeah, I remember when the Mets picked him in the draft (I was hoping he'd somehow fall to us), and I just had a feeling this guy was gonna be good. I think he'll be the one the Mets miss the most in a few years.
  12. Alright, my boy Fabio with great relief! Hmm, is it a coincidence that Daigle had a good game after my article about him and Wasserman on Future Sox was put up? I think not. As for the Bristol game, thank god Allen finally had a decent game. He's been absolutely terrible lately. Also, Javier Castillo continues to hit, going 2-3 today with a BB. This guy could very well be a pretty good prospect for us. He's only 20-years-old and has nice size, at 6'2'', 185 lbs. Lastly, it's nice to see Evan Tartaglia continuing to produce in the leadoff spot. Also, Great Falls lost 5-2 in 11 innings. Josh Hansen and Matt Deuchler had 2 hits apiece, and each had 1 RBI. Garry Bakker had a very good start, after sucking it up pretty much the whole year so far, giving up 1 ER in 7 IP. He also recorded 5 k's. Ryan McCarthy did not play. Great Falls Box
  13. Yeah, what he said... Also, I'll hate to see you go, Tony. I too enjoy reading your posts and respect your thoughts/opinions a lot. Hopefully, you'll be back soon. 'Cause without you, that's one less good poster here, making this board worse off b/c of it.
  14. I immediatley thought of "Old School" when I read the part about the "gang bang" Oh, and Jester, is Roselyn Sanchez gonna be in on this group hug, too.
  15. Oh s***, that's gotta be embarrasing as hell for players when they fall over on a strike.
  16. That website is pretty cool. I've been there before and looked at the Cardinals new stadium. I think that looks pretty badass!
  17. Yeah, I saw that, but he's pretty much done, imo, so it really doesn't matter. He's too old for rookie league.
  18. They have Koyie Hill in AAA, but I don't know how major league ready he is.
