  1. It's done during the winter meetings, which are in December.
  2. Wouldn't that be something if the AL Central of all divisions got 2 teams in the playoffs? That being said, it's not gonna happen.
  3. Yeah, he started off his career as a catcher, but moved to 1B.
  4. Yeah, I was thinking that too. lol Other thoughts on today's games: Nice to see Borch doing well and takin some walks in Charlotte... Hankins with another good night at the plate (2-4, 2 rbi)... Ulacia got roughed up for the first time in a while... Anderson just isn't missing a beat since getting called up, is he?... Sean Tracey had a bad outing, but he hasn't had many like that this year... It's good seeing Fields not k'ing in 2 straight games. It looks like he's getting used to High A pitching and wooden bats now... Ryan Rodgriguez had a good start, and Castro was great in relief... Young 0-2, but with 2 bb's... Nanita is doing great in Kanny and should probably get called back up to Winston-Salem soon if he keeps raking and Brice keeps struggling... Great start for Gio! I'm glad they finally let him go more than like 4 innings... De Los Santos and Castillo continue to hit, but Allen is really disappointing me with another 0-4 night for him. I'm not too worried however since he's probably never really used wooden bats much before and even rookie ball pitching is a big difference from high school pitching... Nachreiner finally has his first good outing of relief in about the last 2 weeks... Ryan McCarthy and Hansen are really starting to heat up now, which is great to see. Especially for McCarthy since he's only 19 still and has plenty of time. Hansen is 23, so this kind of performance should be expected from him.
  5. Great Falls won 12-11 in 13 innings. Lucy was 0-5 with 2 k's and hit into 2 DP's. Boomer Berry was 5-7. Ryan McCarthy was 2-7 with a double. Great Falls used 9 pitchers. The best outing of the night came from Demetrius Banks, who didn't give up a run in 2 IP. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=16688
  6. The Big 1-8-0-0-0! Congrats Jas! I've got quite some time until I reach that number. Maybe I can do it by the time I'm 21!
  7. Anyone here heard of Ingram Hill? They're pretty badass, as you can see that I've had them in my sig since last year. My favorite song of their's is "Will I ever make it home?"
  8. He's a 33 year old outfielder that we just signed. His first AB of the year for the Knights was tonight.
  9. I love Ozzie. He just always makes me laugh. Here's a quote from that article, on why the offense scores a lot of runs for Mark, that made me laugh:
  10. ohhhhhhh... haha, did I say that? 'Cause I meant to say that I bought the Audioslave CD at Walmart for $14.99.
  11. I feel really stupid saying this, but... I dont' get it?
  12. Those are some good ideas, but luckily I'm only 16, so I don't have to worry about Credit Card offers for another 2 years or so... O s***!! 2 years! I don't have much time left.
  13. That song is awesome. I put it on the last CD I made.
  14. Shinedown (I even liked them before they were big), 3 Doors Down (or is it 2 doors up... sorry I know I'm gay, but I had to do that), New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Dashboard Confessional, Tantric, Jet, Saliva, Jason Mraz, Mase, Lost Prophets, Tom Petty; You know what, I listen to everything so my list could go on and on and on..... Basically, I like everything except for Classical, most bluegrass, and the blues. Hell, I even love listening to old t.v./cartoon theme songs. Right now I've got on the Fraggle Rock theme song, and coming up next on a playlist I've got going are the Captain Planet, Smurfs, Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles, Salute Your Shorts, and Goof Troops theme songs.
  15. Great job yet again, Dan! OMG, Bmac isn't at #1? WTF's wrong with him? What a loser! Seriously though, I've been pleasantly suprised with Josh Stewart. He sucked at the beginning of the year and I figuered that he was done, but he's really been pretty good in his last couple of starts. It's good to see him doing well.
  16. Right now, the Tribune's website (chicagosports.com) has "Buehrle flirts with perfection...", and has the Cubs winning underneath it in regular font. I can't believe it, but we're actually the bigger headline, as of now anyway.
  17. It gets annoying when every time someone is talking about how well a certain player(s) is doing, he has to say that it's time for KW to trade them b/c he's mad that KW traded Reed since he was our "best" prospect. Seriously, every single time a player is mentioned as getting on a hot streak or whatnot, Old Socks says something like this. We got his point about not being happy about trading away prospects and wanting this team to "go for it" when our prospects are ready in a couple years and not by trading for proven major leaguers to help us win now.
  18. Good read. Thanks for posting it. I'm really excited about having Freddy and Mark as our 1 and 2 for the next 3 years at least. Oh, and Mark better not leave us for the Cards when he becomes as free agent.
  19. Wilson Valdez, Baj, or Arnie Munoz, and only if Valdez/Munoz can speak English... You already got Borchard earlier this year, correct?
  20. We are the Champions by Queen... I love that song Love Shack by the B-52s (i think that's their name) St. Elmo's Fire by ? There's a lot more I could list. I don't listen to these songs all the time, but I still do sometimes b/c I burned a CD with all 80s songs a couple of months ago.
  21. Yeah, it's in that Cingular commercial.
  22. I'm not sure as of all time, but as of now, I'm pretty sure they do...
  23. It looks like Fields is starting to heat up, which is great to see. Sweeney just continues to rake; I guess he finally just got used to High A pitching and felt he needed to step up after Anderson was promoted. Bmac = Wow! I love seeing Bounds do well! He became one of my favorite prospects last year when he was at Great Falls, and last year, I constantly had the "Brandon Bounds Watch" going, which showed his up to date stats throughout the year. I would start that up again, but it'd probably jinx him like I think my "Donny Lucy Watch" has done to Donny. I notice that Clinton King's back for Kanny. I didn't think he'd play until later in the year, if at all, after breaking his hamate bone. Glad to see him back! And, Young was moved back down in the lineup and did well. They need to just keep him down there and let him gain confidence. Whisler doing well is a great thing b/c he's got 4 quality pitches and is a lefty. He could really turn out to be one hell of a draft pick if he turns out. Dizard has been great in relief all year, and continued to do well tonight, pitching 2 scoreless innings. This guy has very good stuff, but fell in last years draft due to injuries, iirc, so he could really turn out well for us. I really like him a lot. Also, Great Falls is up 7-6 in the Top of the 5th...
