oh s***, i didn't know that it hadn't aired yet. I hate people that always tell what happens in the end of a movie before you see it, and thats kind of what I did w/ the ESPY's. Sorry guys
-
No it's not. It's Buehrle hands down. You could maybe make a case for Garcia if you want to include his time w/ SEA, but, imo, you can't b/c this is about the top pitcher for the Sox, and Garcia's been just o.k. in his starts so far; nothing spectacular, yet... Lastly, are we sure the guy that wrote this is really a Sox fan b/c how the hell can he even mention Esteban as a possible top pitcher on our team. Jon's even been better than he has so far.

I like that guy's opinions. He's got 10 of the 15 players I listed in his Top 70, and I tried to list players other people hadn't mentioned already, although I did re-list a few b/c of the importance I felt they had on being "top" prospects. Anway, here are some of my own comments on guys on guys that this guy didn't mention: Nick Swisher- .258, 16 hr, 54 rbi, 18 2b, 80 bb, 64 k, .428 obp- This guy is exactly what Oakland loves, and therefore, is a top prospect, and will be a very good major leaguer, imo. John Gall- .320, 20 hr, 65 rbi, 28 bb, 44 k - Although the PCL is a hitters league, this guy is just raking it in just his 2nd season in AAA. He is 26, however, but just look at guys like Scott Podsednik, and tell me that he doesn't have much of a chance 'cause he's too old. Dan Haren- 8-4, 4.09 era, 110 ip, 124 k, 30 bb - Cerb's got a good point that this guy has pitched many major league innings, but he's still young, and has a good shot at being a starter in STL next year. You can't argue w/ the K/BB #'s; you see that kind of ratio moreso in A-ball than AAA. Michael Morse- Alright, don't really know what I was thinking here; He's not really a top prospect, but he is a solid one. David Aardsma- 5-1, 1.99 era, 5 saves, 31.2 ip (25 games), 28 k, 16 bb- Truthfully, I was trying to come up w/ a closer prospect off the top of my head, and came up w/ Aardsma b/c he was a 1st round draft pick as a closer. While he has pitched pretty damn well out of the 'pen this year in AAA, his 5 saves in 25 games show that he's probably the set-up guy of the future rather than the closer of the future for SF. I don't think he really deserved a "what the hell, f*** no", though, from Cerb, considering it's not like he has a 5.68 era w/ 8 blown saves.

Happy B-day! Good luck with getting the license!
-
Me too. However, it really doesn't matter for me anyway since I've got dial-up!

What about Boy Meets World? I still watch that show every morning at 2:00 am! I think it's pretty funny how Mr. Feeney went from 6th grade teacher, to high school principal, to a college professor. Man, that guy is one hell of a teacher; he can teach anyone at any level.

I didn't have a chance to look at the link when I read this earlier b/c I had to go to work, but after looking at the site, it's awesome! Thanks for posting this, Cheat! I love the Berman and the "Prominant Player to be traded to prominent team" articles.
-
If the Bulls did somehow get Kobe (although it's not gonna happen) that would be so f***in awesome! I don't know if I'd s*** my pants like Jason , but I'd probably start running around and jumping on the furniture and stuff, and yelling.
-
Yeah, the idea of having the show is good, but the way they do the show if annoying as hell. They say the #'s on the countdown like ten times. That gets pretty annoying. "Tw-Twent-Twenty-Fo-Fou-Four-Four..."
-
I totally forgot about those 2 shows; They were awesome Also, the Alvin and Chipmunks movie was pretty good too, IIRC.
-
Blazing Saddles and History of the World are both badass movies!
-
Just b/c their farm system sucks as a whole, that doesn't mean that those players suck. I've seen these guys play in person many times, and they've really impressed me.
-
That's not my list of who I think are the Top prospects or anything. What I was trying to do is mainly list players who I hadn't seen already listed. Anyway, what's so bad about these guys that you say "no" to everyone except 3? And, why exactly is any STL player disqualified? Was I supposed to list players that could get called up to the majors or something? If so, I wouldn't have listed probably most of those guys.

I've got two that tie as Play of the Year. One being the Carlos catch when he robbed Ibanez, and the other being Timo toying w/ Zambrano, resulting in Crede's HR.
-
Mine too Fresh Prince was another show I watched, as was Growing Pains. I also watched "Who's the Boss?" Looney Tunes and Tiny Tunes were good cartoons, and for some reason I watched Hawaii Five-O reruns a lot when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade...
-
I forgot about the original All That and Bonkers, those shows rocked! Guts was awesome, too!
-
Once again, Great job w/ the recaps of every player, and I hope that Carpel Tunnel's not affecting you too much
-
I love Woody; always have. He's a little goofy sometimes, but I still like him.
-
Maybe Crede or Uribe would be involved in another trade, so then Jose would play 2B or 3B, depending on who was traded. However, I doubt this trade is for real and if it is, I'd hate it 'cause I don't want Jose anywhere but SS; he's done pretty damn good there defensively this year...
-
I think that if we had the prospects to give up for RJ, we would take him, and not Nomar.
-
Do you mean David Cook, or is Darren some Kanny coach or something? Hopefully it's a typo (which I'm sure it is) and you didn't call Mr. Cook by the wrong first name.
-
Yes, it does!

I'm just wondering what shows y'all watched backed in the 80's and early 90's? I'm trying to start a list of shows from then, but I know I'm missing a bunch. Anyway, I just thought it'd be good to start this since there was some talk of Captain Planet and Salute Your Shorts in a thread in the Photo Album and How Does That Work Forum, and I'd like to hear more of what y'all watched. Here's what I've thought of so far: Captain Planet Salute Your Shorts Darkwing Duck Tale Spin Duck Tales Goof Troop Are You Afraid of the Dark? Legends of the Hidden Temple (or something like that) Smurfs Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles Fragge Rock Doug Power Rangers
