I agree. I'd rather just have him get some rest, and come back ready to go in the 2nd half.

Congrats to Brian on being name "hitter of the week" for the Southern League in just his first week there! Brian Anderson Named Hitter of the Week Posted on Jul 9, 2004 BIRMINGHAM, AL - In his first week in Double-A, Barons centerfielder Brian Anderson has been named the Southern League's BC Powder Hitter at the Week for July 2nd - 8th. The White Sox #7 overall prospect and #1 pick in 2003 hit .414 with two homers and seven RBI for the week. He also added two doubles, a triple, two stolen bases and five runs scored to help the Barons to 9-6 record to start the second half. Anderson, a native of Tucson, AZ, is the third Baron to win a weekly award as Dennis Ulacia won Pitcher of the Week for April 30th - May 6th and Arnie Munoz picked up Pitcher honors for May 7th - 13th.

agreed, but if you really want to keep the bars, then at least space them out a little more

Let's go Sox!

That's a damn good job of showing why it's fake! Another thing wrong with it is that when you click on the players names in the article, it doesn't go to the player's page; they're fake links too.

holy crap, I remember when that happened. I totally forgot about that until you said something. That was pretty damn uncalled for when he said that stuff to Raffy... btw, I wonder how Rafacosta's doing? Oh, and I've been wondering for a while now what happened to HSC? I haven't seen her hear for a long time.

Did anyone see the "Anchorman" skit thing on Sportscenter 2 days ago. I thought that that was f'n awesome! I loved it when Farrell was like "an around the clock sports network, that will never work. That's like a 24 hour cooking network, or an all music station. haha"

thanks, and make sure to come back to SoxTalk if we do trade for Eddie or Hasegawa, so you can find out about the prospects you'd be getting. It's always nice to have other fans that are serious and don't spam.

He's 5-12 so far. I really like him; I was impressed when I saw him on t.v during the CWS, and thought he'd be a good players, and so far he has been.
-
Hopefully, he'll at least get to Great Falls at the end of the year.
-
Yes he is. He makes so many things funny that normally wouldn't be, which says a lot about the comedian he is.
-
We're pretty high on him. He's our closer and one of few reliable bullpen options that we have. There's absolutely no way that we would trade him. Oh, and he's 35 years old, so I doubt that you'd really want him since it seems to me like you're kind of rebuilding.

Agreed. Jon's been hands down better than Esteban for the last month or so.

Very nice pics! thanx for posting them

That's babass Aboz! Congrats on getting on BA! I sent in a question during draft time last year, but it never got answered.

I wonder why Australia got the most hits?(cough...DBAH0...cough)

Torres is hurt right now, but even when he comes back, couldn't Spidale bat lower in the order to get used to AAA pitching, and then eventually take over the leadoff spot w/ Torres moving towards the bottom of the order, and Valdez staying in the #2 spot?

Bristol won 12-10. Evan ( ) Tartaglia was 4-4 w/ a triple, 4 rbi, and a stolen base. De Los Santos was 3-5 w/ 2 rbi. Allen was 0-4 w/ a rbi and 3 k's. Novoa got roughed up for 5 ER in 2 IP. He had 4 BB's and hit a player. Bristol Box Great Falls won 5-0. Ricks was 2-4 w/ a double. Kelly was 1-1 w/ a solo HR. Collaro was 1-4 w/ a HR and 2 rbi. Gery Bakker got the win giving up 0 runs in 5 IP. He also had 5 k's. Russel and Nachreiner both pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief. Nachreiner has been pitchng very well lately after a bad start at the beginning of the year. I think he's gonna be very good as long as his knees hold up. (DBAH0, i know you like hearing this b/c your sleeper prospect is having a very good year )Great Falls Box Charlotte won 6-5 in 12 innings. Valdez had another good night from the leadoff spot going 2-5 w/ a triple, 1 rbi, and a stolen base. Nelson was 2-3 w/ 2 rbi and 2 BB's. Reggie Taylor was 2-5 w/ a double and a solo HR. Tetsu Yofu went 7 strong innings, giving up 3 runs. Majewski got the win giving up 1 run in the last 3 innings. Charlotte Box

I sure as heck hope he'd be the one that would get promoted. He's more than deserving for a promotion to B-ham. Only problem is that there are people in front of him (Becker and Sasser). Well, imo, screw Sasser, let Becker DH full time, and let Rogo play 1B. Other notes from today's games: It's good to see Ulucia continue to pitch very well even after missing a couple of scheduled starts b/c of his suspension. Also, Haigwood had a very good game. I love to see him do well b/c I think him and B-Mac would have both been having awesome year at Kanny and would have been called up to W-S if Haigwood had not torn his ACL at the beginning of last year, which set him back. And, it's nice to see Sweeney get a couple of hits and a HR, and Fields have a 3-run shot, although I'm not liking the 3 k's. Lastly, Pollok got another save w/ a 1-2-3 inning, which I like to see because right now, he's my favorite closer prospect that we have.
