Thanks man, that'd be really cool if I could hear what someone thinks about an academy that's going there! Oh, and I've heard about those summer seminars and I thought they sounded pretty cool, so it's good to hear that they are. Btw, thanks to everyone else that responded about Marquette, U of I, and the academies! Oh, and Supersteve, I'll have to look into MSU some. I've really never thought about it before and I don't know why.

SoxAce, you and I were two of the first to be high on De Los Santos at the beginning of the Bristol's season, and we've been right on this guy so far! I guess it's like they say, great minds must think alike! Also, if you look at my sig, you'll notice the new "Jose De Los Santos watch", which I'll be updating every game!

Great Falls lost 9-2. Logan got roughed up for 5 ER in 3 IP. Nachreiner was the only pitcher to pitch a scoreless inning. McNeil and Rivera were the only hitters who had good games, w/ McNeil going 2-5 and Rivera going 2-4 w/ a double and an rbi. Their were a lot of 1-4's on the night by our hitters. Great Falls Box

Does anyone know why they're not letting Gio go deeper in games? He's only gone 9 innings in 4 games (3 starts), and I'd think he's about ready to be able to go 6 or 7 innings as long as he keeps pitching like he has been. Also, I just want to point out that Gio has a K/BB ratio of 18/1 in 9 innings. That's pretty awesome!

Damn, Young is really tearing it up as of late, as is Nanita. It's good to see Sweeney start hitting well. And, De Los Santos is starting to become one of my favorite minor leaguers and so is Gonzalez. I know they're in the lowest possible level of baseball, but they're just flat out dominating the Appy league, and will probably be at Great Falls to end the year (maybe even Kanny for Gio).

thanks... Is it hard to set up the Network adaptor, and do I need Road Runner, DSL, etc. for it to work?
-
That sounds like a great idea, especially leaving out top 25 teams. However, I don't know what I have to do to play my PS2 games online. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to be able to play games online?

If we got Pavano that'd be f'n awesome! Btw, thinking of free agents, does anyone have a list of free agents for next year?

Exactly what I thought when I read this post.

De Los Santos is only 19, so he's definitely a real prospect. I think he's gonna be very good, and should get promoted to Great Falls by the end of the year, but probably not any further. I really think that Rogo needs to be promoted, too. Also, it's nice to see Roberts continue to hit well, and Lucy have his first big game for Great Falls. And, it's good to see Bakker have a solid start, and Zaleski have another scoreless inning of relief.

Yeah, that is a pretty optimistic view on the Hamilton situation, but I just really like this guy after reading an article about him in ESPN The Magazine, and really want him to do well. Anyway, he probably is done, but I just wanted to present the positive points of the Hamilton situation b/c he's really not that bad of a guy, he just made a few mistakes (His were just a little bigger and more in the spotlight than other people b/c of who he is). Anything is possible, so he could still turn into a solid major leaguer, probably not All-Star like he probably could have been had he not gotten into the drugs, etc.

I'm really glad that he turned down our offer in the off-season b/c right now we'd be stuck will Bartolo, and wouldn't have gotten Garcia b/c we'd have a ton of money invested in Colon.

Mark Cuban rips Sam Smith and the Tribune Company
dasox24 replied to Spiff's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Man, that'd be so awesome to have Cuban as our owner for the Sox. Just think of all the money he'd spend on us considering baseball doesn't even have a salary cap. Too bad he wouldn't think about buying us b/c of one main reason: baseball teams just don't make much money (besides a few, i.e. yankees), and owning a team is a business for him that he wouldn't make much of a profit from. -
This guy is absolutely incredible at eating. I mean, I think he beat the 2nd place guy by 15 1/2 hot dogs. I don't see anyone beating this guy for a while.

Do you know why they don't have it for PS2 down there? I think that really sucks that they don't. I guess you could always order it on the internet to get it, but I think that really blows that no one carries it down there.

I really don't think that Hamilton is done. This guy is still fairly young (24, i think, which is younger than Borch), and has all the tools to be an absolute stud. Plus, it sounds like he's gotten his life back on track now and has gotten over his cocaine addiction. He'd probably be an all-star for the D-rays had he not had all those problems, but he's a really good kid who just made a few mistakes (he didn't have baseball to focus on b/c he was injured, which gave him a lot of time to get involved in cocaine). As long as his life is really back on track, he'll probably need about 1 year in AAA, and could be in the big leagues after that, and will still only be about 26 years old.

Shingo's in, btw

I just want to say that the home plate ump f'n sucks! Of course, we've known this for the last couple innings, but I just thought I'd say something again about how much this guy sucks
-
Good job getting out of that inning...

Schnur's really on a tear as of late; he's got his avg. up over .280 now.
-
He gawn!

I'm so excited about 2005 ; I own 2003 and 2004, and I'm definitely adding to the collection when 2005 comes out. Oh, and I also think that NCAA is hands down better than Madden.
-
It's nice to see Schnur continue to slowly bring up his avg.; it's almost to .280 now. Also, anyone know why Hansen only went 2 innings for Great Falls? injury? And, it's good to see Roberts start off this well.
