Actually, just to let y'all know, the league that Al Jefferson played in is one tough league to play in. It's not full of some soft, no talent teams. These teams that play in it produce college players every year, some actually make it to the NBA. I remember my brother telling me that one of his friends that he met in college went to a school that played in that league and said that there were some bad ass players. A couple guys I can think of that were starters for their college b-ball teams that played in this league are Justin Reed (who got drafted in the 2nd round this year), Mo Williams (drafted in 2nd round last year), Aaron Harper (best 3 point shooter of all-time at Ole Miss; however, not drafted this year). Anyway, I just wanted to point out that the league is not as bad as some of y'all think.

Aaron Boone (coming back soon)
dasox24 replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
This is a great pickup by the Tribe. Boone will help them a lot if he's not slowed much by his torn ACL. Any word on when he'll be back? -
This is a great deal if Ortiz can return to the year when he finished like 2nd or 3rd in cy young voting(it was either last year or 2 years ago). But, it's not like he's been bad this year, so I'm happy no matter what. Also, I'd like to see who we gave up to make this trade.

I don't see anything on whitesox.com about it, but if this is true, this sux. I mean, right when we think we have our 5th starter for the time being, this happens, and we have to bring up another minor leaguer. Also, Diaz hasn't been as dominant since being sent down, so that worries me a little about his confidence. Well, best of luck to Diaz against Zambrano b/c he'll need it.

I saw on ESPN's bottom line last night that Quintero had a good game and was gonna post something about it today, but forgot. It's good to see him do well. Good luck to him.

I was wondering if someone could make me a sig that has the players (J-will, Gordon, Chandler, and Curry) from these pics (other pics of these players can be used if they're better than mine), and says something to the effect of: "And the picks just keep on coming... but when will they finally pay off?" The backround of the sig can be red or black, or preferably, it would be the Bulls' logo or something like it. I do have a sig now, but want another so I can have 2 to alternate. thanx

And, his defense sucks too.

The Tribe scare me this year, but especially for the future. They could be very, very good for many years to come, which sux for us.

I like all of the Magic's moves, except I think that they should have taken Okafor. But, they took Howard, and I hope that he does really well for them! I'd hate to see Howard not do well and become a bust b/c he seems like a really good kid w/ a good head on his shoulders. I wish him the best of luck!

Me too. I really, really liked this draft. It's the first time in a while that I've been really happy w/ all of our picks. I mean, in the past I've had questions about our pick and thought that maybe we passed up on someone that we shouldn't have(i.e. last year i was happy w/ Hinrich, but wondered if we should have taken Pietrus... well, I sure don't have any doubts about that pick any more), but this year I'm happy w/ who we have, and if neither Gordon or Deng turn out to be anything good (which i doubt), well, then I'll have no ill feelings towards this draft b/c these were the best picks we could have made at the slots we were picking. Also, some of you may say that the best pick at #7 would have been Iguodala(who I really wanted) and not Deng, but after drafting Gordon, there's no need for another guard in Iguodala. Yes, Andre can play SF, but he's more of a true SG, while Deng is a true SF.

Me too, and I'm not a Pistons fan either. I just want the Pistons to be able to represent the eastern conference well again next year since the Bulls aren't gonna do anything big next year, and I'm an eastern conference guy.

I didn't mean to make it sound like the 76ers big men sucked, but just that ours could be better than what they had. I mean saying that if Curry and Chandler develop into the players they can be, then we'll be even better off than the 76ers b/c we'll have better big men. Chandler, if he can stay healthy, can be our Ratliff/Mutambo type player (he's not as good as them defensively, but is still pretty damn good), and Curry would be way better offensively than any of their big men.
