If this trade happened (but it won't), I'd try to get Josh Hamilton too. Now, I know y'all who are familiar w/ Hamilton are about to rip into me for suggesting this, but after reading an article about him from the new edition of ESPN the magazine, I really like this guy. He just made a few mistakes, which cost him big time. But, it seems like he's really turned his life around, and will be a really good major leaguer when it's all said and done.

Villacis had a nice start after getting roughed up in his last outing. Baj w/ another nice inning of relief.

I actually read somewhere that he was gonna DH on days that he didn't pitch, but I, too, would rather have him focus solely on pitching.

I guess the bulls won't be able to see Deng again. This sux, I would've liked to see him work out against some other competition. Deng plans no workout encore By K.C. Johnson Tribune staff reporter June 18, 2004, 10:06 PM CDT Barring an unexpected change, the Bulls will have to be content with one up-close-and-personal look at Luol Deng in advance of Thursday's NBA draft. Deng, who worked out for Washington on Friday, has no plans to revisit the Bulls for a workout against competition. The Bulls will bring back Arizona guard Andre Iguodala for a second workout Saturday. He previously worked out against projected second-round competition. But Iguodala has dropped below Connecticut guard Ben Gordon on the Bulls' wish list, which still includes Deng and a possible trade down for a lower first-round pick and an established NBA player. Gordon's strong workout at the Berto Center on Tuesday shouldn't be a surprise given the results of combine testing released to teams Friday. Gordon bench-pressed 185 pounds 12 times, seven times more than Deng, who outweighs him by 28 pounds. Gordon also managed a vertical jump of 37½ inches, six more than Deng. Gordon's size—6 feet 2¼ inches in shoes—could be a deterrent. But general manager John Paxson went against the grain last year in drafting Kirk Hinrich. Layups Emeka Okafor worked out for Orlando on Friday and told Florida reporters afterward that he has no plans to visit other teams. Magic general manager John Weisbrod said he has seen nothing medically wrong with Okafor's back and that one unnamed team has offered three players and a first-round pick for his No. 1 pick. … Of the 53 early-entry candidates who withdrew from the draft by Thursday's deadline, 31 were either high school or international players. One—Croatian guard Roko Ukic—will be on plenty of teams' radar screens for next year's draft. … The Bulls worked out Brazilian forward Anderson Varejao in a Thursday afternoon session that originally was reported as being for Robert Morris product Brandon Bender. … Condolences to the family of Judy Lynch, a longtime assistant in the Bulls' ticket office who died earlier this week.

The final score was 7-6 Gerogia.

yeah, they were seriously considering changing the name, but it seemed like everyone hated the name "express," so they kept "grizzlies." Also, their new logo would have been a plane which would've sucked.

Hopefully Cotts' performance tonight will put him on track for the rest of the season. That would really help the pen if Cotts could get on track.

Have you ever met any of your Winston-Salem teamates before, or will this be your first time to meet them?

Way to go Brewers!

I'm so pysched about Munoz starting, especially b/c I'll get to see the game since it's on national t.v.

I can't believe Joe is beating Ramirez, especially b/c Ramirez is having a much better overall season than Joe. Although, Joe has really stepped it up as of late. Btw, congrats to Frank and Juan on making it at 1st and 2nd base.

Sounds like a badass roadtrip!

Nachreiner didn't have the best first night. Giving up 1 run in 2 innings isn't that bad, but I don't like the 4 walks. Lucy had a good first night w/ a triple and an rbi, as did Kelly. Boone started off the season very nicely also giving up 1 run in 6 innings.

Here's the Great Falls box: (sorry, i haven't formatted a box since last year and forgot how to do it... maybe someone can tell me how to do it or edit it for me) Here's the link to the box for easier reading: Great Falls Box

Congrats to Great Falls on winning their first game of the season!

The only guy that I think we'll really end up missing in the end is Rupe and maybe Francisco. But, the other 4 guys wont be anything more than avg. mlb players at most. What's done is done... let's not worry about players we lost in past trades, and be excited about who we do have now. Oh, and I'm really glad that we signed Whisler. This guy has 4 quality pitches and is left handed. His only question is putting it all together. He could be really good once we work with him some.

Now that Fields is in W-S, will Gonzalez move to SS and then Lopez move back to 2B, or will Lopez stay at SS with Fields and Gonzalez switcing back and forth b/t 3B and DH?

I think Gio will go to Kanny, too. Thanks for posting that article, by the way. It was definitely a good read. I'm so psyched about Great Falls' game tonight. I can't wait to see how these kids do. Oh, and can someone tell me when Bristol's first game is?

Georgia now has the lead, 3-1

Yesturday, the Grizzlies showed what their new uniforms are gonna look like next year. I kinda like them, but wanted to know what the rest of y'all think about them. For some reason the Grizzlies website won't let me copy the pic of the uni's so here's the link to check them out: Grizzlies Uniforms
