Haha, I hate when that happens.

I don't know what my least favorite movie is, but I was pretty disappointed when I saw Bulletproof Monk.

I think everyone needs to chill... I highly doubt the whole team goes into a slump b/c Frank didn't play. Frank is one guy, it shouldn't affect us that much. I mean, it's not like Ozzie sat Frank, Carlos, Willie, and Uribe b/c if he did, then I'd be pissed along w/ everyone else here. But, he didn't, and it's not like Konerko has been playing horribly; he still needs some at-bats; he can't sit the whole time until we get home. If we lose this game, I'm not blaming it at all on Ozzie's decision to sit Frank tonight. It's the rest of our team's fault. I understand that everyone's frustrated b/c we can't get a hit off Pavano, but use some common sense... one player not playing is not what will lose us this game, if we do end up losing

Let's go Sox!
-
Actually, starting w/ the 2005 Draft, they're not rotating the team w/ the top pick by league. So, since the Expos have the worst record out of everyone, they would have the top pick.
-
I only left Jeff Larish (Arizona st.) and Micah Owings (Georgia Tech) off the list b/c even though they probably won't sign and will go back to school, anything is possible, so I wouldn't add them until they're back at school for sure.
-
Although the 2005 draft is just under a year away, I thought we could make up a list of people who will be available in the first couple rounds of next years draft. Anyway, here's a few players that I could think of: College Stephen Head- 1B/LHP- Ole Miss (university of miss.) John Mayberry Jr.- 1B/OF- Stanford Mike Pelfrey- RHP- Witchita St. Jeff Clement- Catcher- USC Alex Gordon- 3B- Nebraska Tyler Greene- SS- Georgia Tech Jed Lowrie- 2B- Stanford High School Justin Upton (B.J. Upton's bro)- SS- Great Bridge H.S. (Chesapeake, Va.) Sorry, I don't really know any upcoming HS seniors except for Upton. Alright, I just started this thread b/c I have nothing else to do so let's have fun w/ it, and not have anyone get all pissed about a thread that's for a draft that's a year away.

I can't wait till he starts playing so we can see how he does? Any word on when he'll be playing his first game for W-S?
-
Agreed. Also, Brice had another good game for W-S. After his first two games, it looks like he was more than deserving for the promotion!

Congrats Brian! -
This is awesome! I can't wait to see how he does when he starts playing! All we have left to do is sign those 5 guys from first 10 rounds who haven't signed, and I'll be ecstatic.
-
That's how they are for the most part.
-
Hahaha Actually, knowing Fox, I wouldn't be surprised if they really did do that.

I just thought that I'd share this b/c I thought that it was pretty funny: "News leak: 'Beat L.A.' screen big hit in Detroit Don't look now, but the Pistons Urinal Screen is making something of a splash in Detroit. The team's new souvenir was tested out at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in the Palace at Auburn Hills. "Four years of college, 10 years of PR and I'm pitching urinal screens,'' Palace Sports and Entertainment director of strategic communications David Wieme told the Detroit Free Press. "We sprung it on the male patrons Sunday, and I heard a ton of response, all positive, all laughing, all taking it in good humor.'' When body-temperature fluids hit a black square on the urinal screen, "Beat L.A.'' appears. The screen are available at pistons.com for $10 through a "Bathroom Humor'' link. The screens -- which were put in Palace restrooms, other than the Lakers' -- were a big hit. "Surprisingly, well, maybe not surprisingly,'' Wieme said. "We didn't get one theft.'' You don't have to be a genius to imagine why." Sun Times Article

Nice first article!

I guess I'm the only one who thinks Uribe was a big surprise. I mean, who expected him to be playing every day and to lead us in BA. I'm sure some people thought he'd do well, but in a situation coming off the bench, not being an everyday regular. Of course, Shingo's ERA and scoreless inning streak has been a huge surpise too! This poll question was definitely a hard call to make, as all of these things have been surprises to me.
-
I'd love to pick him up. Like said before, he was really good last year and could probably be fixed.
-
I'm glad we got Lucy signed. I think he's gonna be a really good player. Because he's got good speed and is athletic, is there any talk of moving him from catcher so he doesn't lose his speed? Also, does anyone have a list of what Great Falls' roster looks like so far?
-
This was a great night for minor leaguers! B-Mac just dominated, Borch got back on track w/ 2 hit, Rauch pitched great again, and my man Dwayne Pollock got his 13th save of the year. I should also mention that Sean Tracey had another solid start for W-S, and it's great to see Brice have a good first game at W-S.
-
I think that's a good article, except I think they forgot to mention another AA player that has a good chance to make it to the big leagues, Jim Bullard.
-
Damnit!
-
I just started watching the game and can't believe that Burnett is dominating us the badly. Or at least it seems like he is; maybe we're just shooting ourselves in the foot. Anyway, is it Burnett pitching really well or are we sucking?
-
yeah, my bad. i spaced

Nice inning by Garland! Come on Willie, let's get this offense goin!
