  11. Winston-Salem ended up losing 8-5. Anderson was 2-5 with a solo HR, while Sweeney was 0-5 with an RBI. Pedro Lopez was 4-5 with a run scored and 2 RBI's from the leadoff spot. Jeremy Hudson took the loss, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) in 4 innings. Box Score
  12. He's only 23 so he's still fairly young.
  13. I think Ferris would be a pretty good pick, especially because 1B is a position where we don't have any real prospects (except for maybe Rogowski). Of course, I know we shouldn't draft a position b/c our system is weak at that position, but I'm just saying it would be another plus to taking this guy.
  14. I'd rather get a college player in the 1st round too, but I'm just trying to throw out as many options as possible.
  15. Another player that might be available at our pick in the 1st round is Greg Golson, a high school OF'er from Austin, Texas. He has very good speed and a great arm from the outfield. Here are some quotes on Golson from an article I read on perfectgame.org: "A few plays that stood out during the game included watching speedster Greg Golson (Austin, TX) run down a shallow fly ball, making it look very easy..." "The fastest man on a very soft wet outfield track in Ft Myers was Greg Golson. We’ve actually timed Golson faster than the 6.41 we got him at the AFLAC event." "During the fielding workouts the top outfield arms were Greg Golson and Michael Taylor. Both have plus major league arms. Golson was actually clocked from the outfield at 95 mph." Here's link to rest of article- Perfect Game article
  16. I'd love to get any of those players, but Howell would be my first choice with Meyers, Trumbo, and Suzuki after that.
  17. yep, err, at least he did in high school.
