I really like Hummel. I think he's a very good player. And, it really helps that he can play 2B, SS, and 3B. Could he possibly become our starting 3B this or next year if he does really well if he's called up in September?

Miles, Hummel, and Rivera all had good nights. Hopefully, we'll see Hummel and Rivera, if not all 3 of them up in September.

Another very good outing for Cotts, minus the walks.

I think Hernandez, Thomson, and Garcia would be great pick-ups. Having any one of those as our 5th starter would be awesome. I don't care if Garcia is struggling this year, maybe he'd turn it around because he wouldn't have the pressure of doing as well as he was supposed to because he was supposed to be a #1 starter for Seattle, and he'd only be our 5th starter, this year anyway. And, we'd could have him for next year if we lose Colon.

All I have to say is that Rowand is a lot better defensively than Everett, but Everett is gonna play everyday because 1. we traded for him, 2. he gives us experience, and 3. he plays hard so it's a good example for younger players. He's also a LH bat, so that helps. But, I like being able to have Rowand come in at the end of games on defense, and we are still able to have Harris pinch-run if we need a pinch runner.

haha, i had a feeling he would be getting a day off eventually because I think he's played in every game since being in AA. It's ok though because I ended up not going to the game last night, but I still might go tonight. At least I know he'll play if I do end up going tonight.

Alright, thanks. I really hope I can go on Tuesday, but Monday would be OK because I would get to see Reed, unless he sits. If I go to one of the games and he doesn't play, I'm gonna be pissed because there are really only 3 guys that I'd really want to see on Birmingham, and those guys are Pacheco and Cotts, who won't be starting when I'm there, and Reed.

Does anybody know who the starters will be for the Barons on Monday and Tuesday, August 4th and 5th? I will most likely be at one of those games because I'm visiting my sister who goes to the U of Alabama, and she said we might be able go to one of those games, but she wasn't sure.
