  1. Jayson Stark said that the Giants don't think they'll resign him after this year, so I think we should go after him next year. And, yes, the Giants would have definitely given up Williams, Foppert, and Ainsworth to get Colon. Highly doubt that Look at what they gave up to get Ponson. Just think what they would give up to get a proven, veteran, ACE starter.

  3. Wow, I can't believe they aren't showing more Cubs highlighs or talking about the trades that were made by teams on the east coast.
  4. I mean, how many times is BBTN going to show Giants-Cubs highlights? I think that's the 4th time in a hour they've showed those highlights.
  5. AL and NL central got dissed, but they made sure the f***ing al and nl east got 20 minutes a piece I hate ESPN's east coast biased.
  6. haha, lol! I wouldn't be suprised if they did
  7. It was for Bubba Crosby and Scott Proctor.
  8. Great minds think alike southsider! That's exactly what I wrote in another Ponson to SF post.
  9. Yea, I think that would be like us giving up Garland and Cotts for Ponson. That's way too steep of a price for Ponson, who the Giants said aren't going to be able to sign after this year. It looks like they want to win it all.
  10. Damn! Just imagine what we could have gotten for an ACE, Bartolo Colon.
  11. It was for Damian Moss and Kurt Ainsworth
  12. Damian Moss and Kurt Ainsworth for Ponson. They just said it on BBTN.
  13. What? Levine is a good reliever. I don't think it's gonna put KC over the hump, but it's not like they traded for a s***ty reliever with a +5 ERA and a high WHIP.
  14. This is a very solid move for KC. Levine is a good reliever. Now, we really need to make a move for a reliever or a #5 starter. Come on Kenny, get it done.
  15. I sure hope your right on your hunch. But, BBTN just said that Omar Minaya(sp?) said that doesn't think any deal involving Vazquez, Vidro, or Vlad will be approved by MLB.
  16. The Red Sox made an awesome trade. Basically, they got Suppan and Saurbeck for Freddie Sanchez. That's a steal for the Red Sox.
  17. I read those posts, and all I have to say is "whatever." I mean, there just pissed off because we're beating up on them, and they thought they had a chance to win the AL central this year. Afterall, they were supposed to be one of the worst teams in baseball, so don't you think you'd be a little upset if the Sox were supposed to be one of the worst teams in baseball and then were actually good, but couldn't beat the 2nd place team in the division, and were very close to getting passed up the the standings. Of course, I don't think any of us here would be that stupid to say another team was using steroids and corked bats.
  18. I hope Frank gets #2000 tomorrow because this way he can get it out of the way. And, he won't have to worry about any more milestones for a couple of years, until he gets close to 500 HR!
  19. Is this guy a real prospect, or what? He's tearing it up for Bristol, but I want to know how old he is before I take his stats in to too much consideration. He leads off most games for Bristol, and is an outfielder for them. Here are his stats: G AB R H TB 2B 3B HR RBI SH SF HP BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG 40 153 32 49 78 10 2 5 23 1 1 4 15 23 15 6 .320 .393 .510
  20. I was wondering how old this guy is. If he is still pretty young, then I would think that he would be a pretty good prospect because his numbers are pretty good. By the way, here are his stats: W-L SV ERA G GS CG SHO GF AB TBF IP H R ER BB SO HR HB WP 2- 3 0 2.98 8 8 1 1 0 161 182 45.1 35 15 15 18 33 2 1 3
  21. I sure hope that happens! Those two 2000 series against the Indians and Yankees, where we took a combined 6 out of 7 really set the tone for the rest of that season.

    Magglio

I just heard on sportscenter that Magglio is batting over .600 in his last 10 games. That's freaking unbelievable! I think Maggs has to be the player of the month for July. But, does anyone know what his avg. is over the whole month? My guess is that it would be around .370.
  23. With Paulie hitting the way he is, I'm really excited about our team now! Hell, Konerko had more home runs in one month(6 in July) than he did in the previous 3 months(3 in April,May,and June).
  24. I would much rather have Wright than Appier. In fact, from what Jason has said about him, and from looking at his stats, I have been convinced that he would hurt the rotation more than help it.
