I know tons of stuff in the Pasadena Area, that's a ways from you but driving distance if you avoid rush hour. Santa Anita Horse track is there if that's your thing. You're also very close to Coachella. Tickets sold out in like 3 hours for the concert this year but can always be found through brokers. You should be close to Joshua Tree if you want a nearby park to hit up. Trust Yelp and various other review sites to find things fairly local to you just to grab quality meals. If you're in the L.A. basin usually things have had the chance to pile up reviews if they're worth doing. Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. From the sounds of it, I'll have to make Santa Monica happen. Definitely would like to go to Joshua Tree too. I hadn't even thought about Coachella. I actually have some friends going, so that's definitely worth looking into. Thanks, Balta!
