I grew up a big Illinois fan because my Dad went to school there and is a big fan. But I went to Tennessee for college, and by my Sophomore year, I was all Vol. My Illinois fandom has continued to decline over the years, and now I'm at the point where I haven't even watched a single game this year. But I do still hope they win.

I now lock my phone with a pin because the iOS7 update made me. Probably a good move.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 20, 2013 -> 10:02 AM) The Chiefs defense is legit. Justin Houston is going to be in the running for DPotY at the end of the year. They sure are vindicating me picking them as my "sleeper" defense this year. So far, so good... And yeah, Houston had himself a hell of a game last night.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) Ingram- 295 rushes 1107 yards 10 TDs, 3.8 YPC, 1 fumble Richardson- 298 rushse 1055 yards 11 TDs, 3.5 YPC, 3 fumbles It's interesting to see the similarities statistically, but it only tells part of the story. Ingram plays in a much more prolific offense and has played a season longer. No teams stack the box against the Saints, whereas that's what Richardson faced every game. Also, Ingram doesn't catch the ball like Richardson does. Richardson is a true 3-down back. Add in T-Rich's receiving stats, and I think that tells much more. Richardson - 58 catches, 418 yards, 1 TD Ingram - 17 catches, 77 yards, 0 TD

I really like this trade for the Colts. But I also see where the Browns are coming from. They have stockpiled 2014 draft picks. You can always get a good running back elsewhere. Maybe not a potential game-changer like Richardson, but someone more than capable of being very solid. Heck, they could sign someone like Ben Tate this off-season, and if they end up with Bridgewater and another 1st rounder in the 15-20 range, that's pretty good. As for the Colts, I really like their young offensive trio of Luck, Richardson, and Hilton. Add some pieces to that o-line and their offense will be pretty damn good again for awhile.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:23 PM) HS game, but crazy end to a game with both team's fans rushing the field on the last play of the game: http://www.rantsports.com/clubhouse/2013/0...wn-to-win-game/ That's infuriating. That should never happen at the high school level. I hate dumb football. -
The Bears have the worst 3rd down defense in the league. Teams are converting roughly 52% of 3rd downs against us. Good thing they still force turnovers and make stops when we need it. But there is definitely room for improvement, which is encouraging considering we're 2-0 against teams who made the playoffs last year.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 15, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) do you just leave yours on? Ohhh, I got you now. Okay. I'm an idiot. I wasn't thinking of the act of taking it off, but rather of putting it on.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 06:22 PM) Illinois has absolutely no talent on defense. Not a single defensive lineman on the roster who can shed a block and no team speed. I like Jonathan Brown a lot. Not too sure about what else they have these days. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 11:32 AM) How would said tissue be used...? To let the girl clean herself up if you're the kind of guy who pulls out... Or, in a worst case scenario, the tissue would be given to the girl because she's crying.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 14, 2013 -> 01:16 PM) Your phone?! I don't get it. I need an explanation. I don't really have a routine, but I chose phone because it also serves as my clock in my room. I usually like to see what time it is. Then I go back to the girl.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 08:00 PM) Do you remember SportsByBrooks spending an entire season writing stuff about Alabama and Trent Richardson? SUVs, house, suits and no one would pick up the story. I wonder which school will be next. Because Yahoo or SI can just pick a school out of a hat and write the same exact articles. That's a guy I just completely forgot about. What the heck happened to him? Haven't heard from him in awhile. -
Few thoughts... 1. Offensive line played well in pass pro. But more importantly, Cutler got rid of the ball quickly - that might be the most improved aspect of his game. 2. The Bengals are a very undisciplined team. That was just bad. 3. Like the 2nd half adjustments that were made by the coaching staff. But most importantly, the defense yet again comes up with a huge play when we needed it most. Lot of room for improvement, but to get a win against one of the best teams in the AFC is a great way to start the year.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 09:46 PM) so how long is Texas going to let Mack Brown run their program into the ground. I mean its not like we've seen this before with older coaches, ie Bowden and Paterno. He has to go. They have no reason not to be in national championship contention every single year. Now it's time for Texas to pony up and give Saban like $25M/year, and get him out of the SEC for me. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 6, 2013 -> 03:25 PM) 29.8 ppg, 9.8 apg, 4.3 rebpg, 45% shooting, 29.4% 3pt shooting, high of 44 points, 3 games over 30, and his average is held down because they didn't really need him in game 6 since they built a solid lead early and Boozer played well (I was in the audience so I happen to have a crisp memory on that one). I was there for that one. One of the most impressive performances I've seen in a basketball game.

And the Bears defense picks up right where they left off... Great read and react by Bostic on the Pick 6.
-
Man, it's good to have the Bears back. Even if it is a measly pre-season game.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 08:14 PM) It's hard to "luck out" on a schedule in the SEC Except Georgia did last year. They played 2 Top 25 teams in the regular season. I'm not saying that any SEC schedule is easy, but it can be a lot easier than five Top 10 teams in one year. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 11:13 PM) you know the personnel better than me but just glancing at the Tennessee schedule, if they can win 7 games then it would be a successful season. i'd guess 5-6 is most likely. Oregon,Florida,South Alabama,Georgia,South Carolina, Alabama in a row. then a "breather" with a road trip to Missouri after Alabama. Just brutal. I'm really hoping for 6 wins. Kind of sad to be honest, but that's the state UT's in right now. As for other poster's comment, I don't think I'm crying a river. Just stating that it's a damn tough schedule.
