  1. If this flag is on us, I'm going to flip my s***.
  2. Yes, let's do more empty backfield sets. That always works out great for us.
  3. Are you f***ing kidding me??? That another horrible offensive PI.
  4. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) Lovie is the best thing the Bears have going for them. Everything that everyone consistently complains about Lovie have nothing to do with him. They are personnel moves which have to do with Angelo, and now Emery. It's clear though. The Bears need to get an offensive line, Hester needs to switch positions(I'd have him simply as a nickelback on defense), and they need to get younger on the defensive side of the ball. I'd say the following things that I mentioned above are completely on Lovie: "And in general, the team looks sloppy, unfocused, and lacking a sense of urgency. Stupid penalties."
  5. I've completely dismissed the "Lovie needs to be fired" sentiment until this game. But I think it seriously needs to be considered. The defense is old, ineffective. The offense is as bad and inconsistent as they've always been during Lovie's tenure. ST has somehow regressed. And in general, the team looks sloppy, unfocused, and lacking a sense of urgency. Stupid penalties. I could go on and on.
  6. Don't know how that was possibly a PI on Conte... Horrible call from far side official. But in reality, doesn't matter. Bears deserve to lose this game. They are playing like dogs***.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 01:12 PM) How many f***ing false starts does Garza have this year??!! You are the center, you should never false start! You control the movement of the ball!! Yep, I cannot believe how many false starts Garza has this year. Should absolutely never happen to the Center. Garbage...
  8. I would like to say that I'm completely in favor of this Catholic basketball league. Think it would be great.
  9. Big win for the Vols against #23 Wichita St tonight. Needed that badly.
  10. In an odd league where the playoffs don't start til next week (no idea why our commish did that, but I guess it's my fault for not noticing), I'm going to squeak into the playoffs by a mere 1 point. I will have the same record as my brother, but the tie-breaker goes to total points and I have exactly 1 more point than he does after adding this week's scores. Just hoping there isn't a stat change later in the week, but man, that was close. Also, what the hell Bryce Brown?
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) Still might be worth it. That's kind of my thought as well. With as horrible as the o-line is now, I'd overpay for Long. His injuries are a bit worrisome, but I'd take that chance. Obviously, it all depends on how free agency shapes up and who isn't re-signed by other teams. But Pro Bowl LT's don't typically become available in free agency, so if Long is out there, the Bears would be stupid to not explore the option.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) For whatever reason people are saying the dolphins plan on letting him walk. Strange, but the talk is getting louder Yep, I've heard this too. I even heard Len Pasquarelli say on the radio the other day that he thinks Long is likely to go elsewhere.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2012 -> 01:40 PM) @ dasox24, Rumor is former Vols OC Chaney is moving to MIzzou as OC. I certainly liked your offense more than ours, what would you think about that hire? I'm a big fan of Chaney. I thought he did a really good job with the offense and just seemed like a great guy as well. My one fault with him was that he had a tendency to get away from the run game at times, but overall, it's hard to complain b/c we were putting up more than enough points to win if not for our defense. I think he'd be a great hire for Mizzou.
  14. I'm cool with Jones. Not overly excited but not pissed. We'll see what happens. The national media is loving this hire, which is a bit surprising.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) Pellini is throwing his hat in the ring at Tenn. Good luck with that Vols. Yeah, that better not happen. I wouldn't like that at all.
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 5, 2012 -> 12:32 PM) @jasonjwilde The #Packers and @RyanGrant25 have agreed to terms and the running back will sign with his old team this morning, per Grant. If he gets hurt maybe they can bring back Ahman Green or maybe Jim Taylor. This has nothing to do with the current Packers, but I met Jim Taylor once at a charity golf tournament and he was an incredibly nice guy. We joked around a bit about me being a Bears fan among other small talk, and he even let me try on his Super Bowl ring. Really enjoyable guy to be around.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Dec 6, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) Ok. I read that as stating they were a "top 10 all-time program", which I would many reservations with. Really? I think it's pretty much a no-brainer. Definitely a Top-10 program all-time. In the last 10 years? Absolutely not. But over the last 100 years? Absolutely. Historically, the only programs that are better: Alabama USC Ohio St Notre Dame Michigan Oklahoma Nebraska Texas The programs that are about on-par: Penn St Auburn That's about it.
  18. So I'm drunk and officially in meltdown mode. What the f*** has happened to Tennessee? We're a f***ing Top 10 team of all-time! Why the f*** can't we get a f***ing coach???
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) You should apply I know of a guy who jokingly applied for the DC job at Texas after Muschamp left. They had to post the job listing to the public b/c of some state law (like Wisconsin).
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 04:30 PM) Strong would be a good hire. I am surprised and happy that Tom Herman hasnt been mentioned for more openings this offseason. I dont want to lose him or Ed Warriner I like Strong a lot. I'd be happy with any of the 3 that I mentioned above, but I tend to like Strong the most. Also, I know this is supposed to be a long-term decision (and I think it would be a good one w/ Strong), but for the short-term, I did hear that a number of highly rated recruits would love to see Strong go to UT. They love him as a coach but didn't want to play in a conference like the Big East (and of course, the ACC now). But with him in the SEC, they would re-think things. Always a good thing to hear.
  21. It's about time for Tennessee to wrap things up with Jon Gruden... But seriously, I'm guessing we'll find out tomorrow. Strong, Gundy, or Fedora seem to be the likely choices.
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Snuck into the playoffs as well in one league. Excited that perhaps McFadden might have a redemption at the end of the season. That's my hope as well, though I'm not counting on it. Made it to the playoffs without Run DMC, but I'm hoping he helps me now that I'm there.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) would be 5 coaches in 3 years right? Yep. Haywood was the coach for like a week so I guess he technically counts.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 03:37 PM) I fully expect the entire Pitt coaching staff to be driving back to Madison any minute now. Poor Pitt. That would be 2 years in a row where a coach left them after one season.
